[ Anna's POV ]

"Just calm down... Take a deep breath before you say anything," I put my hands on Chris' chest, but he takes a step back. Ouch. Right in the heart.

"I'm very calm. I couldn't be more relaxed," he rolls his eyes and sighs, his unreadable eyes look away from my guilty ones. The problem with Chris is that he's very closed. His eyes aren't an open book, his face doesn't hold any expression at all and that can be scary at times. But I know he's trying not to lash out and I couldn't be more grateful for those anger-management classes.

"I'm gonna give you guys some privacy," Jessica whispers, escaping from the extremely uncomfortable situation and raises her eyebrows at me and nods, as if she's wishing me luck.

I nod back and she smiles, before closing the door behind her.

"You better start fucking talking now," Chris growls and sits on the bed in front of me. He clenches his hands into fists and I can't help but stare at the vein in his neck.

"The day that I went to Jason to get my shirt..." I start, looking in Chris' eyes, trying to figure out what he's thinking, "It was really awkward. I got my shirt and left. He stopped me at his door and kissed me. I pushed him away. Nothing happened. I don't have feelings for him anymore."

Chris clenches and unclenches his jaw, debating what to do or say, "Are you sure nothing happened? I swear to God, if you're lying to me right now..."

I used to think that it was cute when he got jealous, but I'm starting to worry since we're all on this plane and hell will break loose if Chris starts to break things, like he did before the anger-management classes. He hated it at first, but I know he was grateful after all.

"Why would I kiss him if I have you?" I say softly and inch closer to the bed. Chris notices my stiff posture and sighs. He extends his arms and murmurs, "C'mere." I happily agree and walk over to him, sitting next to him on the bed.

"I don't bite," he says and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, "You looked like you were about to." I look away when I feel Chris' eyes burn holes on the side of my face. He wraps his arms around me and puts me on his lap, snuggling his face into my neck.

"I'm sorry if I scared you or anything... I'm really trying my best not to fuck up this summer," Chris intertwines his fingers with mine and puts them on my lap , "Making the best out of it, you know."

"I know and I'm sorry I didn't tell you. It's partly my fault. You're trying so hard not to freak out anymore and I'm not helping if I don't tell you stuff like this," I shrug and relax my body against his.

"Freak out? I never freak out," Chris laughs and lies down on the bed, taking me with him.

"Riooooo, here we are! Fuck, it's hot here!" Sammy yells, rolling the 'r', when we get off of the plane. We landed on a big, open field in Rio de Janeiro, next to the airport, after a flight of 8 hours. Luckily for us, Jack's plane was very comfortable and luxurious.

"It still seems weird to me that your grandfather's friend will be somewhere in this big city. It's gonna be hard to find him," Jessica says and carries her suitcase off the stairs of the jet. Jack sees her struggling and chuckles, "You and Anna probably packed for four weeks."

"I don't know how long it will take us to find that damn cabin!" Jessica defends herself and Jack places a soft kiss on her cheek.

"I got us a van with tinted and bulletproof windows," Sammy points at a black car in the distance and looks at Chris, "It might come in handy."

"Bulletproof?" I raise my eyebrows.

"You know about the gang. We don't know who's out there, trying to bring us down. Wherever you turn, there's another one who wants you dead," Jack says and shrugs carelessly, slinging his backpack over his shoulder.

"You have enemies in Brazil?" I frown, starting to have a bad feeling about this trip.

"We didn't do anything for the past months, it's okay. We stayed away from trouble, we didn't agree to any deals. It's safe. He's just fucking with you," Chris assures me and puts his arm around my shoulder, calming my nerves a little bit.

"At least I'm being honest with Jes!" Jack yells to Chris and walks across the field, towards the van.

I roll my eyes as Chris flips him off, "Fix your own fucking issues before you come at me!"

"We're only one minute in Brazil and we're going to be together for a few days. Don't rip each other's head off already," Sammy grabs the rest of the bags and walks behind us.

I throw my bags in the trunk of the car and follow Jessica into the car. Just as the jet, the van is huge and comfortable. "Did you rent this car and a personal driver?" I ask Sammy, emphasizing 'and' for the dramatic effect, as Sammy calls shotgun and slides into the car, next to a random driver.

"He owed us money," Jack says, who's sitting in the row in front of us, next to Jessica and their pile of food.

"Don't worry about it," Chris looks out of the window and ignores Sammy's order to close the window.

I had called mom to let her know that the flight went well and that we landed. Ella's staying at mom's apartment in Long Island for the month and dad an Jasmine are still on their trip.

"How's your mom doing?" I ask Chris, trying to start a conversation.

"She's... great," Chris coughs, "I actually need to tell you something about our parents."

"What is it?" I ask and take a sip of my too expensive water bottle I bought at the aiport in New York.

"You know how your dad told you that our parents are dating?" Chris says, his voice getting muffled by the loud conversations of Jessica and Sammy.

"It's gross, please don't bring it up," I scrunch my nose. I've thought about it before. I mean, what if our parents are going to marry? That will basically make Chris and me brother and sister. And that's both disturbing and hilarious.

"They're not dating," Chris says and laughs when he sees my confused face.
"Why would they lie about that?" I ask and put my hair in a high ponytail with the elastic around my wrist.

"My mom told me that they did like each other a little bit, but it's more of a friendship then anything. She told me she helped your dad through the divorce and stuff," Chris shrugs and stuffs a handful of popcorn into his mouth. Why would someone have a bag of popcorn in their backpack? Nobody knows.

"Why didn't he tell me then?" I rest my hand under my chin and pull my phone from my handbag.

"I thought you knew," Chris says and relaxes against the seat, taking a pillow from under his seat.

"Dad?" I say as soon as he picks up.
"Yeah? What's wrong, Anna?" dad's worried voice booms through the phone.

"Why didn't you tell me that you're not dating Chris' mom?" I ask and brush a hand through my hair.

"It's a little complicated and I didn't want to tell you, with everything that's going on... I'm happy that you're away from all the craziness," dad says and I want to laugh and tell him the truth. But I can't.

"So there's nothing going on with Chris' mom? She did move in," I ask, just to be sure.

"Yes, yes. Jasmine had some problems with her company and money. We're just great friends and I confused that for romantic feelings. I wasn't happy with your mom and I buried myself in my work. But it's going to be different after this summer, alright? I love you. Be safe," dad says through the phone and I let out a breath of relief. Great, no wedding bells ringing soon.

"I love you too," I smile when Chris leans over to my seat and wraps his arms around my waist, his head resting on my boobs.

"Have a good time. Tell the others we said hi."

"I will, dad. Bye," I end the call and plant a light kiss on Chris' head.
