[ Anna's POV ]
After a drive of five hours, we only stopped twice, once because we all needed to pee and the other time was because we didn't have any food anymore, the driver finally pulls up. Chris told me that the driver owed them money for drugs, but Jack cut him off before he could tell me the details.
"Is this where we're staying at?" Jessica asks the driver and turns her head to look at me.
I shrug and look out the window, feeling bad about the place. It looks like an abandoned building, with the filthy windows, the paint peeling off the walls and no one in sight.
"It's the only place you can stay at. There's nothing for miles. We made a deal, I would stop driving after ten P.M.," the anonymous drives speaks up, for the first time since he took off at the airport.
"Great. Only for one night though," Jessica sighs and looks at Jack for confirmation. He nods and looks at the driver, signaling for him to get our bags, "Bucks, you get our bags. I will see if I can find anyone in this dead place." Jack gets out of the car, Jessica stays close behind him.
"Do you know this place?" I ask Chris and frown, looking out of the window again. This motel looks like something out of a fifties movie. A scary one.
"No, but I'm sure it'll be okay. Bucks will get us on the road as soon as we wake up," Chris says with confidence in his voice and opens the door, jumping out.
"Is his name really Bucks?" I look at the driver, who's taking the bags out of the trunk and carefully puts them on the ground. Sammy jogs towards the entrance of the motel, leaving us alone in the parking lot.
"Nah, just something we call him," Chris shrugs and turns away from Bucks, "Let's find out if Jes and Jack are dead already."
"Chris!" I exclaim and push him, walking towards, something that looks like, the main entrance of the motel, "Don't joke about that! I've watched that Teen Wolf episode, where they're staying in a motel similar to ours. Horrible things happen in sketchy motels like these."
Just when I finish my sentence, I hear the engine of a car roaring behind us.
"I owe you nothing anymore!" a French accent yells and I quickly turn around, stunned as I watch the van take off, leaving our bags on the ground.
"What a fucking dick!" Chris shouts, preparing to chase the van, but I grab his arm. It's no use really, the car is already on the highway anyway. Jessica, Jack and Sammy run outside, with panicked look on their faces.
"What the fuck is going on? Where the hell is Bucks?" Sammy screams and Jack holds the bridge of his nose.
"Did he really just leave us alone?! Here?!" Jessica yells and puts her hands in her hair when she realizes he left us at this motel.
On cue, two black vans pull up. A buff guy and a woman, who looks like she's the same age as my mom, wearing very disturbing, revealing clothes, step out of the first van. The woman nods at us, but the man flips us off, purposely kicking our bags.
"Let's go to our room," I quickly say when I see Chris and Jack ball their fists. Jessica agrees and curls her fingers around Jack's bicep, dragging him away from the cars. Sammy groans and walks towards our bags.
"I'm gonna help Sammy. Go to our room, I'll meet you there, okay?" I say to Chris and smile, letting him know it's okay.
"Okay," he says and clenches his jaw, after sighing and slumps away.
"It's going to be a long night," I say to Sammy as we pick up our bags, walking towards the open door on the other side of the motel. The rude couple disappeared in the motel and two other people wearing sunglasses stepped out of the other van.
