[ Jane's POV ]
The last bell rings, indicating that high school's finally over. Long days and fucked up sleep schedules, here I come! I stand up from my chair and jog to Anna, who's chatting with Jason.
She's been around him a lot today. She's like a gazelle and he's just a hungry lion, circling around its prey. The fucker probably apologized for his whorish behaviour and Anna, kind as she is, forgave him and now they're all good again. Not under my watch, hell no.
"Well, I'll see you later then," Jason says as soon as he sees me. I've got something against him that will get him in serious trouble and I'm not scared to use it. So he's kinda scared of me now, which is funny, since he seems to intimidate a lot of people.
He leans forward to peck her cheek and quickly scurries out the classroom, leaving a blushing Anna, who's looking down at her lap.
"What the hell was that?" I ask her while throwing my arms in the air . She puts her books in her bag and stands up to look at me, innocently bashing her eyelashes. "What do you mean?"
I scoff and pull her by her arm to get us out of this muffy classroom. Anna's acting innocent, but she knows damn well what I'm talking about.
"You know what I'm talking about!" I laugh and slap her arm. "You whore!" We walk through the hall and Anna narrows her eyes playfully and sighs. "We're just talking again." That's weird, since they left their relationship on a bad note. "You know he cheated on you, right? You shouldn't even give him a second glance, although he looks sculptured by God himself," I admit, Jason is really hot and all, but Anna is way too nice to him, he'll take advantage of her, just like he did the first time.
"Hey! Chanel is back!" Anna exclaims, trying to change the subject. Chanel is a good friend of ours, but she temporarily moved to Europe because of her dad's work.
"I didn't know when she'd be back," I whisper to Anna as we're walking closer to Chanel, who's surrounded by people. She's popular to say the least, but she isn't like those snobby, stuck up popular bitches. She's actually really nice and pretty as well. She actually has everything a girl wants.
"She told me that she'd be back before graduation, but she couldn't make it, so her dad said that she could spend her summer here with us," Anna tells me. Chanel turns her head and yells as she sees us. "ANNA! JANE!" She runs to us, giving us a big hug. "Hey, where's Tiffany?" she asks, referring to the girl who's always with us. We actually got into a fight, nothing major. She was just throwing a bitch fit over Anna, who was being distant and I got angry. I was just standing up for Anna, but Tiffany probably thought I was mad at her or something because she won't talk to me or Anna for that matter.
"Nah, she's just being a baby, don't worry about her though, she'll come around," I shrug, while putting on my 'don't care'-face. Chanel laughs, showing off her perfect white teeth and turns to Anna with the same smile, "So I heard that my little virgin got herself a boy?" She isn't mocking her, she's just joking, but I'm pretty sure that if someone could hear her, they would think that Chanel is making fun of Anna. But she would never do that.
"Very funny," Anna rolls her eyes, before laughing. "But you're right, he just moved here and his name is Chris."
"Mr. Sexy," I quickly add and dodge a slap from Anna. "There's already trouble in paradise though."
"Not now," Anna whispers to me and looks around her, as if someone's listening to our conversation. I mock her by putting up my hands and flip my hair.
"Does he go to this school?" Chanel looks around her. "Can I see this heavenly boy who finally stole the heart of my little girl?"
I giggle and slap her cheek playfully. "Keep your hormones in check, babe."
Chanel scoffs and pouts. "He goes to this school, but I haven't seen him today," Anna says, looking a little worried. "Jason kept me kinda busy today, I didn't even notice that-"
"Kept you busy?" Chanel and I both look at each other, before bursting out in laughter. Childish, but we're just like that. "I've missed you all. Europeans are boring."
"Aw guys, come on," Anna slaps us both, before looking around the hall. "I'm gonna call him, wait here."
[ Anna's POV ]
I search frantically for my phone in my bag and pockets, before I get rudely interrupted. "Girl! Calm down. You can use mine," Jane says and hands me her phone. She knows Chris didn't show up at my house today and that's probably why she's stopped mocking me.
"Thanks," I say, before walking off to the restroom, where it's quieter since the last bell rang and everyone's trying to find their way out of school, so they can spend the rest of their day at the beach. Wait, I totally forgot school's over now. Hello summer! Bye highschool, you won't be missed.
The phone rings four times, before I hear his voicemail. What the hell? He just hung up like that? Is he mad at me or something? I sigh and fix my hair in the mirror and walk through the hall, spotting Jane and Chanel in front of the cafeteria.
"He just hung up," I sigh and bring a hand through my hair as I approach my friends. Chanel frowns and Jane raises her eyebrow, "You spoke to him? Did you cuss?"
I chuckle, not finding it funny, but do it just for Jane's sake, "No, it just rang for a few seconds. But let's forget about him, I'll try him later." Chanel looks at Jane and tries to whisper, "I thought you said he's nice?" Key word, tries. The poor girl can't whisper at all, which I find quite amusing. "Chanel, I can hear you clearly," I say and hand over Jane's phone. "But it's okay, let's go to my house and tell Chanel a horror story, which is my life." Chanel frowns, so I assume Jane hasn't told her yet and hook my arm with hers, before walking out the school.
