DMWNT 11: A beautiful view

"Hey! I don't like you!"

I looked down the chihuahua in front of me. She goes by the name Maddilyn. Ngayong pareho kaming nakatayo at nakaharap sa isa't isa ay lalo kong napansin ang pagkakalayo ng mga height namin. I stood 5'2 tall, my estimation says this midget is at most 4'5. She barely levels with my shoulder blades.

I tried to remember why I'm stuck with this yapping chihuahua. Ah. I was trying to find the library and this suddenly sprang at my way.

She doesn't like me? Do I even care?

"Hindi kayo bagay ni Caspian!"

I sighed. Hindi kami bagay. Tao kami.

"Just because you're horrendously beautiful, and your eyes are so blue, and your hair is so gorgeous and everything about you is perfect, doesn't mean you're good for him!"

Nagpasalamat ako na walang dumadaan sa gawing ito. I could easily imagine ten male specie jumping in to protect this girl from me.

"You don't even like him, do you?"

"I don't," I replied flatly.

Her dark huge eyes widened slightly. Dinuro niya ako gamit ang isang maliit at nanginginig na daliri. "Y-You stay away from him! He's the most perfect guy in this school, he doesn't deserve to be with a robot like you!"

My brow twitched a little. Robot?

Just then, Cassidy Laurent entered the scene and unceremoniously slung a shrieking Maddilyn over her shoulders like she weigheted next to nothing.

"Nalingat lang ako saglit, kung saan saan ka na nagsusuot!" Narinig kong singhal nito habang naglalakad palayo.

"Put me down, Assi!"

"No!"

Figuring that she can't get away from the tall girl, Maddilyn raised her head and glared at me.

"I'm watching you, robot! You better be real careful!"

Idadagdag ko siya sa listahan ng mga taong kailangan kong iwasan, naisip ko nang magpatuloy sa orihinal kong destinasyon. Library. My brain is in dire need of peace and nourishment.

"Did you hear the rumors?"

Nagpatuloy ako sa paglalakad, pilit iniiwas ang tingin sa grupo ng mga kalalakihang nakatambay sa gilid ng hallway.

"Gumagalaw na daw ang TOCE."

One excited male added, "Ibig sabihin baka babalik na din siya!"

"Malaking balita 'to. Siguradong may mga irerecruit na naman siya."

Papalapit na ako sa pwesto nila, silently hoping that I went back to where I came from when I had the chance. Ayokong mabugbog ngayon.

"Kailangan nating magpakitang gilas!"

Nagngisihan ang mga ito. "Magiging impiyerno ang St. Benedict."
