The Death of A Star

When Izumi arrived back at Base Camp, she noticed that there were a lot of students missing still.

She gritted her teeth and launched into the skies, using her quirk to detect those around her that are hurt or in pain.

She dived down towards a flash of pain that she felt, and into the gas.

She held her breath, and flapped her wings hard, blowing the gas all around her so that she was able to breathe.

She found Kendo and Tetsutetsu fighting against a dude with a gas mask and a gun.

Masky pointed the gun at Tetsutetsu and blew off his gas mask. Izumi then decided to intervene.

Beating her wings hard, she ran behind Masky, throwing a punch at him, but he noticed and shot at her.

Forutnately for Izumi, the bullet hit her wing, unfortunately for her, it ricocheted into Tetsutetsu.

Izumi quickly checked his condition, and healed the crack in his metal forehead.

Kendo then jumped out from behind her, throwing a punch at Masky, forcing him to dodge, but then her hand enlarged, hitting him in the face.

Izumi then took that chance to sweep his legs out from underneath him and knock him out with a jab to the neck.

Suddenly, a voice in her mind started speaking: "All students, in the name of Eraserhead, you are permitted to fight back against the villains! I repeat! You are permitted to fight back against the villains!"

That was Mandalay.

The gas dissipated, leaving only Izumi, Tetsutetsu, and Kendo.

Izumi turned around and checked their condition, and upon seeing that they were fine, wished them well and directed them back to Base Camp.

She then took off to search for others.

She found Awase and Yaoyorozu running away from a Chainsaw Nomu.

Izumi quickly healed their wounds and blocked the Nomu's chainsaw with her wings.

"Go! I'll cover your escape!"

Yaoyorozu regained consciousness and made a small disc, "Stick this onto the Nomu if you're unable to defeat it."

Izumi nodded, then shooed them away.

"Alright, you and me, ugly." She grinned, calling Izuku back to her body and releasing him once again.

"Finally, I was waiting for a long time." He complained.

"Shut up and help me with Ugly over here."

Izuku sighed, "Old plan?"

"Old plan."

The twins charged at the chainsaw-wielding nomu, Izuku slashing it across the face and Izumi slamming it in the gut.

Izuku's sword cut deep enough to expose the creature's brain even more, but it wasn't enough to kill it.

Soon, after about ten minutes of a hit-and-run strategy devised by Izumi and Izuku, the Nomu turned around and bounded back through the forest, but Izumi stuck the disc onto its back as it did.

"Did they get what they wanted?" Izumi wandered out loud.

Her attention was then attracted by an ice spire to her right.

Todoroki.

Izuku and Izumi both rushed towards the ice spike and landed near a distraught Todoroki, Shoji, Uraraka and Asui.
