Over the next course of days, the group of girls and guys which consisted of the two from the all girls orphanage and the all boys prep school, had relatively grown closer.
They used to meet up often and Jennie was comfortable enough around them now to make fun of them to which they were used to eventually, as she had a savage personality.
Needless to say, the girls never, ever, spoke about their past, and the boys understood it.
Although none of the others found out about Jennie and Taehyung's make out session near the fence at the back of the school, it didn't happen again ever since that one time.
Maybe it was a spur of the moment thing then, due to the tension they had around each other, maybe it was lust, because it never came up again and instead they started to get to know each other more now, interested in the other'a personality more, their way of acting and all that.
The others in the group, Jimin, Woobin, Rowoon, and Irene, had all noticed the two's behaviour, being awfully flirty and teasing each other all the time, but they never questioned it as they just shrugged it off all the time.
Irene and Rowoon on the other hand began seeing each other, well sort of.
They would never mention it or made it official to them either, but always went back somewhere, into the woods or out of sight, saying they were going to talk but in reality they were probably going back there deeper and away from them to presumably make out, and when they all used to sit together and converse together, the two were always, always flirting and acting all lovey dovey.
Of course at the price of that came Jennie's constant teasing towards Irene, to which Irene was always flirting and acted pouty when the two were alone, but that was just how their friendship was.
They were always like that, more sisterly than you would think.
One day, Jennie was standing at the usual balcony of the orphanage building, looking towards the roads and cars and outside the building which she hadn't gotten a chance to explore much of ever since she arrived here, while Irene on the other hand who was with her was busy listening to some type of music and reading a blog or whatnot on the phone she was able to get.
Suddenly, a Black Mercedes rolled into the grounds of the school, as a couple stepped out and seemed to have scanned the building from top to the bottom and the surroundings of the structure.
Jennie suddenly made eye contact with the woman who was there for a moment, as her eyes lingered on her longer than needed, before she looked away, presuming it was some or the other parent here to adopt one of the little kids.
The little kids were always adopted, as they would be able to accept the others as their parents or family a lot more.
When it comes to adoption, potential parents always looked for the youngest kid they could get to their liking.
As they say, the younger the are, the more cooperative they are with them.
The lady had said something to her husband, who had nodded and whispered something back, and the couple had seemed to make their way inside.
What neither Jennie or Irene didn't expect however, was to suddenly have Jennie's name called from down below.
The head lady's voice echoed from the foyer as the two quizzically glanced at each other.
She faced Irene who bore a similar expression to hers, just as confused, as they both shrugged their shoulders and Jennie left Irene and went down the three story flight.
As she made her way down the plight of stairs, she came face-to-face with a displeased head lady of the orphanage and the seemingly wealthy couple she saw outside earlier.
"Hello there, I'm Mr,Park, Mason Park, and this is my wife Clare Park." the man introduced pointing a finger at each of them and smiling at her as Jennie had a dubious look on her face.
Confusion was clearly evident on her face, as she looked from the couple to the head lady again, not coping with the situation.
Am I being sold off?

Taehyung and the boys were out near the fence joking around here and there when they finally saw Irene.
It had been two weeks since they had seen each other and she seemed to be a bit down.
"Irene!" Rowoon yelled as Irene looked his way.
She smiled at him as she made her way over, unplugging the ear phones from her ears.
"Hey guys." she said as they looked at her confused.
"You good?" Woobin asked her as she nodded.
"Yeah just missing someone." She replied as she shrugged her shoulders.
"What's up with you, we haven't seen you in the last two weeks now?" Rowoon asked a little concerned.
She only texted him now and then with excuses saying she couldn't meet up, and she was the only one of the two girls who had a phone.
"Ahh, I was just a little down. Had to get used to staying here without Jennie." she said as the others ears perked up.
"What do you mean? Did Jennie leave?" Taehyung asked confused at her words.
"You didn't hear? Of course you didn't why would you. She was adopted and left to New Zealand." Irene says breaking the news to the guys.
Although it had only been a few days since they met her, they were certainly shocked.
"New Zealand? That's like another country!" Jimin said as Taehyung took in the information.
"Yeah, but they're a wealthy family. I thought Jennie would never get adopted with her age, because that's how orphanages work, but I'm happy that she at least has a family now, no matter how weird it'll be, at least she can be cared for, I hope so at least." Irene said to them as she tried to reassure them.
Taehyung took it in.
Jennie wasn't here anymore. And that meant that whatever they had was over.
She's in a whole new country now, with a new life.
And although he was happy for her, a small part was sad he couldn't see her again.
It may have been hard for them to hear, but it was certainly the hardest for Irene.
The two had basically grown up together.
Irene already knew that the two would go their own ways after she graduated year 12, and was left to for college, but that was at least a few more months given it would be February, as academic years in Korea were different, but it turns out it came a lot quicker than she had though.
Irene had at least hoped that if Jennie were to stay they would have met on the weekends, but she was adopted.
She's being taken to New Zealand, which was a far cry from Korea, and although she had given Jennie her phone number, it would take a while for the two to get in contact again, and there's no guarantee their friendship would be as strong.
It was like a new path starting over.
One without Jennie.
