The social had began as the VIPs, school board and the staff, also known as the only responsible ones in the party, had left.

There was alcohol everywhere as blazers were off and people were dancing recklessly.

Other than Irene and Jennie, as the two were the only ones left at their table as they were reconciling.

The other two, Jimin and Taehyung, had slipped out earlier as they had decided to not stay amongst the ruckus.

Jennie sat with her crossed legs as she faced Irene and was sipping the champagne being served at the party.

She had been given multiple offers to dance, but she rejected them all as Irene didn't let her get close to those, well quite drunk and most possibly horny, men.

In fact, she didn't let men approach her at all as she glared at any coming there way, which was enough to scare the poor guys off.

"So, New Zealand huh?" Irene asked as Jennie just shrugged.

"It took me so long to learn English at their level, I did it over the summer break transitioning from grade 11 to 12, and thanks to all the prior learning here I got to skip to actual things I needed." She said sighing as she laughed remembering her first few months in the foreign country.

"Wow. How did fitting in work?" Irene asked as the girl took another sip.

"Well apparently I'm very fashionable, and since I needed new clothes because all we wore back in that orphanage, or should I say hell hole, for which good riddance by the way. Either way, we only had uniforms and I needed new clothes, so my sister, Rosé took me to the mall and god was it one hell of a trip. She couldn't stop trying to leave to the food court." Jennie said chuckling at her new younger sister.

"Also I bet there's going to be a few differences between here and New Zealand, since I now moved here and have to start learning Korean law." she said as she ran a hand through her hair, preparing for the new head ache that would rise.

She didn't want to stay the extra two years in the beginning, since she could get a lawyers license without, but she realised that a new count he had different laws and procedures, which meant she had to have more guidance to have them.

But what she didn't realise was that a bunch of eyes were trailing her the ever since she came in.

She was certainly a stunner, that's no lie, and her dressing style only made her more enticing.

"Hmm. Oh wait! I already told you by text that Taehyung and Jimin also attend here, and I was going to introduce you guys as well, but I literally can't see them." Irene said as she stood up from her seat scanning the room whilst Jennie leaned back in her own chair.

"Yah Yah sit down you look like Dora the explorer" Jennie joked as Irene just rolled her eyes but did so.

"They must have left. I mean this social is really boring, they probably grew tired of it. And honestly, I am too. Let's go eat street food." Jennie suggested suddenly as Irene just laughed .

Jennie always had an abnormal love for street food, maybe it was the vibe or the actual food it self, she would suggest to eat it whenever and wherever she could include the suggestion, or sometimes, like right now, she would just bring it up randomly.

"Yah you and your street food... I thought it wood have been over by now." Irene said shaking her head as Jennie just grinned.

"No, you know how the only place I actually snuck out to was that street food place uptown, it's near here too. Either way, other than my love for street food, there's this one place that has this family, who I used to treat as my second family back then." Jennie said as Irene just placed her glass of champagne, which she didn't even drink more than two sips of, down.

"Okay.. let's go." she said standing up whilst Jennie was smiling like a fool.

"Yes! You won't believe how much missed Korean street food, I mean New Zealand street food is pretty good too but Korean street food is different, and I missed it." Jennie said as she started talking about street food while they walked, as the others just gave the pair way since they noted how intimating two pretty best friends could look.

Other than that, although Jennie was walking normally and talking to Irene as she faced forward, Irene was busy glaring at the guys who were in front of them scaring the shit out of them.

Whenever Jennie looked back at Irene however, she would change her facial expressions to make the younger not notice.

"Let's get a cab. I mean although we only took a few sips, we could still be drunk." Jennie pointed out as Irene only agreed.

Irene called a cab as they stood at the stairs waiting for it.

Noting that they were alone, Irene braved to ask a question.

"So... did you stop drinking and smoking as much?" She asked the other girl as Jennie nodded.

"Surprisingly enough yeah. I didn't smoke at all in New Zealand's. It's not that I couldn't, I just didn't want to, so that habit basically quit." she said as Irene nodded.

"Yeah I stopped as soon as I got here too. I guess that was just a moment. But as for drinking, I only do it with friends, not so much alone." Irene said.

"Drinking? That stuff really doesn't effect me still. I only do it out of politeness or with a friend, like you said." Jennie said as they stepped into a cab that halted.

After giving the address, they leaned back in their seats continuing to talk or Irene just showing interesting features of the city on their way.

Jennie was just bubbling in excitement at the mention of her favourite Korean street food lane.
