"Sit behind the black glass. I'll go in," Jennie said as Jungkook protested.

"No, I'll go in with you, or let me go in instead. That guy's a literal assailant! What if he hurts you?" Jungkook insisted as Jennie shook her head.

"Yah, listen to me, I'm in charge here. Either way, he's a criminal; I'm studying law. What the hell do you think my job is? I have to interrogate criminals. Plus, you have hardly any experience in interrogation, and at least one of us should be back there. So shut up and move it," she said, pushing him as he just groaned in defeat.

"Fine fine. It's only because you make sense, and maybe because you're older. We have police right outside, so just call if you need someone. Okay?" He asked as Jennie just rolled her eyes.

"Yah, I know what I'm doing. I'm the older one. Now get lost," she warned as he finally went into the room.

Jennie took a deep breath before pulling her signature stoic face on, which nearly intimidated everyone.

Pushing the door open, she walked in, closed the door, and then her black heels echoed against the tiny rectangular room, which had only one light illuminating it.

She sat in one of the two chairs put on opposite ends of the metal table that the two were seated at.

She crossed her legs as she looked at him square in the eye.

"Alright Mr. Woo, let's get started," she said, clicking her tongue and opening the file.

Her nails skimmed the file as she started with the questioning.

"Did you or did you not purposefully assault Mr. Yoon?"

She waited for an answer which didn't seem to come as she continued.

"It says here that you came up to him out of nowhere and attacked him. True or false?"

Again.

No answer from the defendant.

"Were you or were you not under the influence of any type of drugs such as weed?" She asked again, but this time saw his body stiffen at the new information.

"Did you or did you not illegally possess it, for non-medical reasons?" She questioned once again.

Stiffened again.

"Was there any motive behind your assault or not?"

No answer once again.

"Look here Mr. Woo," Jennie suddenly said as she slammed the file closed on the table and stared intently into his eyes, which momentarily shocked him.

"If you at least try to admit something or answer our questions, there is a possibility for your sentence to lower. But as of right now, based on the degree of assault and the possession of drugs, we're easily looking at 8 years in prison," she said as his eyes grew wide.

"8 years? That's bull shit! Assault can only add to two," he protested as Jennie raised an eyebrow.

He finally spoke.

"Now now, language please, we're in a room of law after all.

Either way, you must've not controlled yourself because assault has different degrees.

And by the injuries you've inflicted, we're looking at a good seven years.

Broken rib, cracked bones, smashed into a window. Ooh, that one must have hurt.

But yes, 8 years, and unless you decide to at least testify something here, show anything to us, it can't be helped, and it will possibly add up if my colleague can prove you've possessed an unruly amount.

Your choice here, Mr. Woo, after all, I have no power or right to make you speak," she said as she sat back in her seat and raised an eyebrow at him, and then froze once she spotted something.

She took her file as she pretended to read something before drawing the symbol down roughly and placed the file back.

"I don't have all day; I'll give you 5 more seconds," she said pointing at her wristwatch and saw his face twitch momentarily.

"5"

He didn't say anything and turned away.

"4"

Still no response whatsoever.

"3"

Utter silence.

"2"

His face twitched a little.

"1"

He opened his mouth a little bit as if he was about to say something, anything, but to their dismay closed it immediately.

"Alright, I'll see you at the trial then, Mr. Woo," she said as she stood up and began to walk out, but was paused in her tracks once he said something.

"You better watch out, you've got someone you don't really know in detainment. This person has a lot more connections than you think," he said as Jennie only looked back at him with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm not scared of you. You can try and play all cool guy all you want, but let's see how that plays for you once you're behind bars." She said coolly as she turned around.

"And if you're going to have a whole silent treatment to the government, you should know your consequences to the actions you made," she said as she pushed open the door and walked out, as the guards went in to secure the man, and Jungkook joined her outside.

"Wah Noona! You looked so cool. You actually got him. To crack. All the detectives inside were shocked how we found all that out!" Jungkook began as he became all excited, but paused once he saw Jennie's facial expression.

"What's wrong?" He asked her as she faced him.

"I think something is really off about this case. If my hunch is right; which I'm not sure of, but that guy could be a gang member and this could be a lot deeper," she said quietly making sure no one heard as they walked out.

"What?!" He freaked as she told him to quiet down.

"As I said, hunch, he has a really weird tattoo. So I'm not sure; we'll have to see," she said as she opened her phone.

Her lock screen showed notifications from the group chat as she opened it.

Sana🍭: "Confirmed: non medical administrative. Also, the forensics expert told me he must have used the drug multiple times in big amounts before as well"

Jennie🐻: good work, that's more years for him then.

Jennie replied to Sana as she showed Jungkook the texts as he nodded.

They had their work cut out.
