"To the different members of the gang we have a minimum of 7 years each due to the felonies committed, and more added based on individual felonies.
To the assailant we assign 25 years for murder, 7 years for assault and 5 years for repeated drug abuse, and an additional 3 years for the degree of rape committed.
To the consigliere we extend a life sentence for multiple acts violating our justice system, and for the boss of the gang, we extend the same due to multiple felonies.
That's the end of the prosecutors charge" Jennie said before sitting down behind her desk, an accomplished grin on her face.
The judge nodded as he faced the Jury waiting for the approval, as he then faced back knowing that there were no lawyers for the defendants.
"The court declares the defendants guilty.
All gang members will receive respective chargers, the assailant will receive 40 years for his own felonies, and the Consigliere and Boss respectively a life sentence due to the degree of their own crimes.
Court adjourned" the judge said standing up as the court room did in respect, and as soon as he left a wide smile broke on to her face as Jungkook and Sana hugged her.
"We finally did it!" Sana dramatically said raising a fist in the air as Jennie laughed at her.
"We did, we're done with this god awful case. Let's do an easier one next time" Jungkook suggested as Jennie nodded.
"Yes please. I don't want to return to a hospital" Jennie mentioned her stay as she winced at the memory of her awful time within the white walls of that room.
"Should we go out for dinner to celebrate?" Sana suggested as Jungkook immediately agreed without a second thought.
Jennie was about to say something as well before a voice interrupted her.
"Sorry guys. You've hogged my girlfriend enough. We have a date now" Taehyung said as Jennie just chuckled.
"I'm still not used to you two dating" Jungkook said as Sana shrugged.
"I think they're cute. Anyways, enjoy your date unnie! Bye" Sana said waving goodbye as she dragged Jungkook along, and Jennie just smiled at their behaviour.
"Give me a few minutes. I just need to turn this in to the head prosecutor and change out of the prosecutor robe. Be back in a minute" Jennie told Taehyung giving him a peck.
"I'll wait out front" he said as she nodded leaving.
Within a minute or two Jennie was already outside as she spotted Taehyung, and he waved to her, opening the car door for her as she got inside.
"I'm so done with court for the next few hours. Let's do anything where we don't have to talk about cases" she said as Taehyung chuckled and nodded.
"Sounds good. Let's just chill today" he said as he started driving and she admired the scenery outside, seeing that it was around 6 p.m, it looked really good.
The sun was almost setting as it started getting orange, and the trees were blowing with a calm breeze, making her smile at the looks of it.
The car soon parked at the parking lot for Han river as she turned to him confused.
"You said you wanted to come here a lot of times, this is our second, and we'll come a lot more often. Let's go?" He said as she nodded getting out the car as he held her hand with his, interlocking their fingers as they walked through the park.
"Let's get a hot dog" Jennie said as she pointed to one of the vendors on the street as Taehyung nodded, getting one for him and one for her.
She was feeling Cold earlier, and the warmth of it made her feel a lot better against the cold breeze.
She did get cold easily, and even her thick coat couldn't help her.
They walked along the path as when they finished with their hot dogs they threw the tissues and containers into the nearby trash can and observed the view even further.
She couldn't help but love the feeling of this walk, and Taehyung smiled at her being happy with the view.
Her eyes were cast on the different reflections of the view crippling across the water, and Taehyung remembered that this was the spot they were at when he kissed her, two weeks ago almost.
Jennie pranced towards the railing as she leaned against it, and smiled at the view,
She couldn't get enough of it.
"Jennie?" A voice called as she hummed a reply and turned around.
"Hm?"
As she turned around she let out a gasp when she saw a ring in front of her.
"Taehyung?" She exhaled unable to properly intake air when she saw him standing with the ring box.
"Don't worry, I won't rush you, it's a promise ring" he said assuring her.
He took a step closer to her until she was right in front of him.
"Jennie, we've only been together for three weeks now, but I've known for years now. And these few weeks together made me realise that you, you were the one I love.
I thought it was infatuation at first, but now I realised that it's you being the love of my life.
I can't imagine myself being this happy with anyone else.
And so, until we're both ready, keep this ring, look at it as if it's a promise, that we're for each other. How does that sound?" He asked as she smiled brightly at him and she nodded happily.
He slipped the ring on her finger before coming even closer, cupping his face in her free arm, and pressing his lips to hers, entangling the two of them in a sweet kiss.
And this kiss to both of them felt like no other, it was as if sparks were actually flying between them, as they stood under the sunset lights as so, again.
But this time, they were both sure.
That they were each other's.
And that they had passed
