The cab pulled into the street curb as the girls paid and walked out.

Taking a long awaited look around Jennie couldn't believe she was finally back and would be able to eat the same street food.

Before taking Irene to the shop, Jennie decided to walk around and get a bit of a lot of things, because isn't that what street food is?

Knowing that they might have wanted to eat a lot, they got one of everything they could split in half.

This particular street was very unknown in Seoul, but that's what makes it special.
.
The crowd isn't too big and everyone knows each other, like one big family.

Of course Jennie and Irene being unfamiliar faces and being dressed so out of place made the two stick out like a sore thumb, but many instead appreciated their looks and made mental notes of the two.

Both of them had luxurious and elegant auras, but one was a classic beauty who possessed all the features a Korean could crave for, being the ideal woman despite her shorter height, while the other had a unique beauty with features that never fit the Korean beauty standard, but the way her features were on her, such as her dumpling cheeks and her round face, but her sharp small chin, made her cute and sexy at the same time as she was considered attractive as well.

Needless to say, both girls and guys were fawning unbeknownst the two busy girls who were drowning in delight at the street food.

"No... how did you never bring me here! It's a crime you hid it from me!" Irene exclaimed as she took another bite of the Kimchi Ppang, which translates to kimchi bread.

It may not sound as appealing, but trust me, one of the best Korean dishes.

"Yah at least be grateful I brought you now instead of hiding you from this longer" Jennie replied as she wiped her lips with the napkin and threw the paper tissue in the trash.

"But you could have brought me earlier!" Irene whined as she realised how much great food she was missing out on.

"And I could have grown taller but look where I am, we don't get every thing we want." Jennie said gesturing to her miniature sized self.

"Yeah you are pretty tiny." Irene smirked as Jennie rolled her eyes.

"Rich coming from you minion, either way I'm not tiny, I'm fun sized." Jennie said as she got another piece of hot dog before Irene could say anything.

The two kept eating anything that came their way, as they couldn't resist the charm of the street food.

Finally they made it to where Jennie wanted to bring Irene initially.

"Here... I used to come here all the time as they gave me free food." she said as she smiled walking over.

"They don't know that I'm back though, so there's my surprise." she said smiling as she saw the elder couple working there, exactly as she remembered.

....

Flashback

....

Jennie sighed happily as she passed by the multiple stores.

She had never been able to come out as freely as she was right now, and it felt good to be out in the middle of an actual crowd rather than that close walled torture place she came from.

She smiled sadly as she saw a mother feeding her own daughter Hweori Gamja, her own favourite.

It had been a while since her parents perished in that house fire, the one where she was the lone survivor.

She stood there as she kept looking at them across the street, the child eagerly nibbling onto the potato her mom helped her eat.

"Are you hungry kid?" A voice asked from behind as the girl jumped a little startled.

Looking back she saw an older man, who stood there with another woman, presumably his wife, working the counter.

Jennie however didn't really now how to respond so she just stood there looking forward, as the mans mouth etched out to a smile.

"Here." the lady said as she didn't notice till the moment she had been called that the lady was holding out a box of fried chicken.

Jennie just stood there wide eyed as she didn't know what to do.

Should she take it? Why were they giving her something for free? Did they expect something in return?

It seemed to be that her thinking was quite obvious, as the couple only laughed and reassured her to take it, so she did.

Consciously she bit into it as the couple could only smile at the socially awkward mess in front of them.

That's how the relationship between them started.

.....

Present

....

"Eomoni!(mother)." Jennie called as she came into view of the now older old lady.

The woman turned at the familiar voice as she saw who called her, and her eyes lit up in joy at the sight of the girl.

"Oh Jennie!" She called out as she recognised her, with excitement laced in her voice.

The pair hugged as Jennie ran up to her, wrapping her arms around the lady as the other did so as well.

"Yah when did you come back?! You just disappeared without a word and when we called the orphanage they told us you got adopted." she said as she smacked the others arm scolding her.

"Ah eomoni it hurts! Anyways I didn't know until that day and they made me leave on the same day. I didn't have time. Sorry." she said as she slightly pouted in the end, and the older lady could only smile and side hug her again.

"It's fine. It's not like you could help it. Anyways who's this young lady?" She asked as Jennie pulled Irene to her side.

"Eomoni meet Irene. Irene meet my second mother." she said as she introduced the two.

"Just call me imo(aunt) dear, a friend of Jennie's is always welcome." she said smiling as she welcomed Irene inside the shop to the conjoined house.

They may have a fried chicken store, but they also own the building which is three floors tall, narrow but still familial.

The older lady pulled the pair of girls towards the counter inside and let them sit down on the chairs.

"You two look gorgeous. Why are you dressed up for street food?" She asked the two as she began looking at their over their own over the top apparel in comparison to the rest of the people eating street food late at night.

For hells sake, they didn't even have on a coat.

"Uh... we had a dinner party before this." Irene started as she awkwardly chuckled.

"I'll explain later Eomoni." Jennie mused smiling.

"Alright alright fine Irene, Jennie." the lady calmed out as she entered her home momentarily to bring something.

"Jennie?!" A voice called from the stairs as they rushed down at the name.

"Well Irene, it's time for you to meet my un official siblings too." Jennie said grinning as Irene could only raise an eyebrow.
