Chinmayi's POV:
The hospital entrance brought in dejavu moments as Deepak and I stepped out of the parking lot. Fear conquered my heart with every step that I took. Deepak rushed by my side immediately intertwined his fingers with mine. A sensible sort of calmness entered me. Our gaze fell on Eeshwar ji and Charan as their view seemed to search for our presence. I ran towards Charan and my older brother took me into a protective embrace. Tears rolled my cheeks wetting my brother's shirt but he didn't seem to mind that. He gently tried to calm me down.
Breaking from the hug, I wiped my tears and looked earnestly at Deepak and Charan. They nodded in a friendly manner at each other in the most civilized and formal way as possible.
"Chinmayi, we're trying our best to help your grandfather. Only the best doctors are around him. Please donot worry", said Eeshwar ji.
I nodded at him, trying to smile. Deepak immediately put his protective arm around me. Charan flinched a bit, but tried to let it go. Eeshwar ji's pager beeped and he looked at all of us.
"Charan, we've got to go, please have your meal-"
Deepak lent out the lunch bag to Charan and uncomfortably, my brother accepted it.
We moved towards the cafeteria of the hospital where Bhai had saved a table for us. He also looked lost and yet somehow bore it all so that we wouldn't crack.
I offered a bite of food to Eeshwar ji, Bhai and Deepak, however, they weren't in a position to have a sumptuous meal. Charan knew that he had to eat and so, I saw him struggle to swallow every morsel of food.
Once he was done, Charan looked at me.
"It's going to be fine Chinnu. Don't worry."
"Yes", I breathed.
"Bhai, can I see Daadhaji?"
"Not now, Chinmayi. I'll let you know." said Eeshwar ji with firmness as a doctor and care as a brother in law.
I nodded.
"It's going to be fine, please call home and let everyone know.", said Charan.
"And Chinnu-"
"Yes, I'll call Megha too-"
"Yeah-"
"She loves you so much, you know that right?"
"Yes-", breathed my brother.
"We're going to be fine. We're the Sharma's", claimed Bhai.
All of us nodded in agreement.
Bhai, Eeshwar ji and Charan headed back into the ward to prepare Charan for the blood donation. Deepak and me packed the boxes and just sat. I somehow felt claustrophobic and Deepak understood that.
"Chinnu, it's going to be a while for the elders to join you for dinner, why don't we step out for a walk? I'll keep the boxes back in the car and-"
"That sounds perfect."
"Okay, I'll meet you at the entrance."
I nodded at him as I watched him leave.
I pulled out my phone and called Megha. In a single ring, she answered the phone.
"Is everything okay?" she asked almost breathlessly.
"Yes Megha. Calm down."
I heard a sigh of relief from Megha's end.
"Did you see Dhaa-"
"Megha-", I cut her off in between.
"Yeah?"
"I'll give you a complete walk through. Just relax please?"
"Yeah, go ahead."
I gave her the details even though they really weren't much. But speaking to her did calm me down. As I walked to the entrance, with Megha on the call, I saw Deepak patiently waiting for my appearance.
He warmly smiled at me.
"Chinnu-", Megha called me out.
"Yeah?"
"I'll inform everyone. Just take care of everyone else out there okay?"
"Yeah, thanks. "
"Charan, is he fine?"
"Yes Megha. I'll not let anything happen to him don't worry. Also inform Diya Bhaabhi that Bhai is taken care of too!"
"Yeah, she'd be relieved to know that."
"Bye then, love ya."
"Love you too!"
After hanging up with my best friend, I walked towards my fiancé. He pulled me to an embrace and I felt double blanketed with his embrace and the night's winds. Gently kissing me on my forehead he looked into my eyes and spoke,
"Eeshwar just said that they've got to do a small procedure on Dhaadhaji and its going to be fine. Eeshwar will be in the room to personally monitor and as he assured you, the best ones are working on him. In a few hours he should be hopefully conscious. Also, everyone's heading out for dinner now and we should join them."
I nodded in agreement.

A few hours passed as the night slipped into a phase of deepest slumber. However for the Sharma's and the Joshi's it was quite different. Regular updates were received from Eeshwar and he asked us to be positive. Hope and prayers pooled from our hearts and concentrated only on our sweet Dhaadhu.
Finally Joshi uncle and Esshwar ji walked out in scrubs with smiles and relief modestly dancing on their faces. As Eeshwar ji popped a thumbs up, Deepak, Bhai and I erupted from our seats towards him.
" He is stable now and is conscious."
"Oh, Thank God, Radhe Krishna!", claimed Papaji.
"Thank you so much Joshi ji.",said Bade papa.
"Oh, no no, we were merely doing our duties."
"Can we meet him?", asked Bhai.
"Oh yes, you can. But it is only two people at a time. Also, he personally requested for Deepak and Chinmayi to meet him first. I hope that's okay-"
"Oh, yes yes!" claimed Charan taking us all by surprise.
I looked at Bade-papa and Papaji. They nodded in agreement.
"In the meantime shall we invite the whole family? I know we shouldn't crowd in the hospital but-"
"Ji, there is a guest house for doctors just a few blocks away. I can ask Eeshwar and my wife to clear it up for the family", said Joshi uncle.
Charan smiled and nudged me to go meet my grandpa.
Deepak leaned a hand to me and I took it and we walked towards his room.
