The Sharma Mansion was dull, grey and filled with sorrow-soaked silence. It had been 3 hours since the incident and even though we tried to call the people who went to the hospital, they didn't attend. All of us were sitting in the ground floor living room, praying with deepest fervor. Not even a drop of water or a grain of rice was swallowed by any of us, not even Daada-Daadi.We saw a tired Charan walking into the Mansion. Immediately, we stood up. He was looking, sweaty, shabby and smelling like hospital. Nausea conquered me but somehow, I handled myself.
"Badi-ma, Ma, Daada, Daadi, Chaachu...", he greeted everyone and meekly smiled. His eyes still looked sad.
"... both of them are kept under observation. Doctors have examined them. Bhai experienced fits because of the pain, shock and fractures, but doctors have now given injections and medicines..
Bhabhi- uhmm... sh-she... "
"Bhabhi ko kya hua..." Badi-Ma sqeaked in a high pitched and yet weak voice.
" She lost a lot of blood and there's head injury. When you people called, we were running to and fro the blood bank."
" Doctors told that both of them must be under 3 days observation and I came to pack some food for our people in the hospital and some fresh clothes for Veera and Chaachi. They were handling Bhabhi and their dresses are stained."
Maa immediately ran to the kitchen to prepare something. Charan went to Badi-Ma to console her. Chaachu spoke soothing words to his parents. What has casted on the Sharma Mansion?

Megha's POV:
I saw Charan walking upstairs to his room. Even though outwardly he looked like a rock, strong and a composed person, I know that deep within, even he's shattered into pieces. His invisible tears and pain, somehow, I could just see it. I wanted to go hug him and console him. But, really, it was not the time. And then, it striked, tomorrow he has exam and today, he is roaming to and fro the hospital.
I know that family comes first and others next. But this exam is extremely important for his placements. Yes, we've liked each other for quite sometime now, it's just that, until today, we never showed it to anyone. I didn't even tell Chinnu and of course my most intelligent friend figured out.
But honestly, more on that later...
So silently I walked up to his room and was shocked to see him sitting on his bed, crying.
I knocked the door and stepped in.
He lifted his head to see me...
" Hi..." I breathed .
He stood up and hugged me so tightly, crying heavily, like a baby....
"Ushh- ushh now. " I gently rubbed his back. Even though there was so much of sadness in the aura, the hug just felt right. My eyes started tearing up, but I had to stay strong, for Charan...
" You know Megha, Vivek and me are like the bestest friends. We're more than brothers. He's my partner-in crime and to see him like that today it simply broke my heart. They were supposed to return next week, but Vivek texted me, only me telling that he wanted to surprise everyone and join the pooja and get together.
And-Diya, she's of the same age of Veera and is like another sister to me-
The most amazing and positive person I've ever known... and to-today, she looked more dead than alive Megha... what am I supposed to do...? "
I've never seen Charan this emotional. In fact no one has ever seen him this way and yet, this is the more real version of him, soft, caring and loving. The thought that he felt extremely comfortable in sharing this with me, brought me warmth... He was still in my arms.
"Charan... " he eased himself from my embrace to look at my face. I wiped his tears and gently held his face.
" Listen to me, you are the strongest person I've ever known. You spoke big words and consoled everyone right, that's how brave and positive you are. Bhai and Bhabhi will be fine, don't worry, okay? But, please listen to me, tomorrow you have a very important exam. you please stay back and study, I'll go to the hospital. Okay? "
"But Megha, h-how? I've no mood to study and how will you manage in hospital, no no... don't do that..."
" Charan, now is not the time to think emotionally... Please stay back... I'll take care... My parents also would want me to help... "
Charan looked puzzled...
"Hey.. no no... Chinnu's my bestie na... " I blushed.
" Megha- ", he whispered my name like a prayer...
" Megha, you know that I lo-..."
"Ushh...". I silenced him by placing my index finger on his lips.
"As much as I want to hear those words Charan. Now is not the time. Go take bath, change your clothes and start studying. I'll leave to the hospital."
He smiled his best even though pain and sorrow had clouded his heart. He pulled me to another big hug. Even though the tinge of hospital smell and sweat pricked my nose, I really didn't mind for I felt complete as for the confession, it could wait those were mere words. Charan is beyond that.
