Chinmayi's POV:

I felt closer to him, much closer than ever before, even amidst swinging between the the poles of emotions that I had been feeling towards him. I am going to be THE CHINMAYI JOSHI, wife of MY SMART-HEADED, ARROGANT, SADISTIC, ANNOYING, AND YET SO LOVING kinda person.

"Hello, you there?"

Oops, I forgot that he was on still on the call!

"Hi! Sorry--"

"Lost in thoughts?"

"Hmm..."

"Am I in them?"

OMG!

Now he's into mind reading my mind?!

Darn! He's smirking at me!!

"Chinnu?"

"Ok, now just go home Deepak. It's already late... "

I cover my acknowledgement with an almost persuading order.

I get it why wives are bossy!

* Did I just acknowledge myself as a wife *

What on Earth is happening to me?

" Are you there? Am I boring you?"

Uh-oh!

My stupid silent dreamy escapes.

This kid is oblivion to the society that we live in!

* LECTURE MODE ON! *

"No Deepak, don't take me wrong. But it's already late and if you don't go home, aunty and uncle will be worried and we are just engaged-"

"Oh- like that...", he cut me off in between and sounded hoarse and low...

And lo, in a high pitched voice, I got to hear this,

"What do we mean by the fact that we are just engaged?

YOU ARE MINE.

Get that into your thick skull. "

His affirmative sentences made my heart flutter and yet fill it with heavy love.

All at once!

As a teardrop slipped from my eye,  I continued the silence.

"Chinnu, are you crying? "

I nodded and sniffled louder this time.

"Chinnu, I understand that you are nodding, but words would be better, you know for voice call communication."

I laughed amidst the tears. Am I blessed or what?

Becoming wiser by every passing minute, he continued without waiting for my reply,

"I like it when you care about my family and me, you know?"

I smiled.

"Are you smiling staring at your toes?"

I blushed deeper!

"Deepak, head back home, please!"

"Ok! Wifey! "

God he's getting cheesy!

"Ya stop that! Now go!"

"Learn to accept cheesy stuff Chinnu. It's me, I am like a whole cheesecake factory!"

"Did you just take referrence from the TV show, The Big Bang Theory?"

"Damn, you binge watch TV shows too?"

"Hell ya!"

"Thank God that I love you.

See ya later!"

I just stood there, digesting this new fond feeling towards my FIANCE.

***

The next few days had been the most amazing days of my life. Having a partner per se, who cares a lot of you, your career, your family and most importantly understands your priorities, it felt like as if you've won a lottery, right?

His name was changed to 'cheesecake factory ', from you know, the incident and I had never felt so focussed in life.

Deepak really helped  in filling out applications for Universities. I really liked the way he developed a bond between Veera , Akhila and Anirudh.

Of course, Charan was a tough nut to crack with all the things and Bhai was all big- brothery on me, fully over protective. But, time will definitely make them face each other.

The preparations had begun with great fervor in the Sharma Mansion. Everyday, Megha, Veera and me had to wake up at 3 in the morning along with our Ma and aunts, do the prayers, and learn the household work.

Since I was such a pampered kid and was always protected by Veera, I felt really difficult to cope up with all of this. One of the main reasons could be my sleepless nights that I spend talking to Deepak!

*Wink wink*

But somehow I tried learning it all, bit by bit for Deepak, it just made my heart dance with joy. I finally found myself to be me, quirky, witty, funny and PJ-ist!

Deepak loved listening to my cooking stories or how I reacted when Chaachi advised me to learn to wear a saree! He knows I am not all that girly types, but like any other guy, he loved a traditional woman. So, the hardwork, was definitely worth it!

Megha seemed to look a bit better and sometimes I feel I was too self-involved with all my problems that I could not even talk to her properly. Even she was super held up with all the work and rituals that even if we saw and spoke to each other everyday, I somehow couldn't talk to her as her best friend. So, tonight, Anirudh, Megha and me decided to hangout in Anirudh's room, just like old times.

No fiances allowed!

Consumed in all these thoughts, I got a call from CHEESECAKE FACTORY.

"Chinnu", he breathed.

He sounded so low that I could hardly grasp the word.

"Deepak, is everything okay?"

" I am not sure how much you are going to like this news-", he said hurriedly.

"Deepak, stop with the fillers please...

What happened?"

"I have to move to Germany, in 2 months..."
