Chinmayi's POV:

"Chinnu, this is heights!", bellowed Charan.

I could literally see him shiver with anger.

Megha immediately ran to him and held his hand to calm him down.

Anirudh moved on to support me and well as for what I feel, the familiar numbness conquered me.

I don't have an answer...

Charan sharply turned to Veera and asked, " Do you know anything?"

"No Charan, please calm down.
I'll call Eeshwar and enquire about it."

Charan nodded and Veera quickly went to her room.

It was now, just the four of us and Charan was glaring at me.

"Chinnu, you cannot think of being with this man, okay?

He is mad, has no sense of family bond and could not even accept you in the first place. He has put you in the middle of all his troubles.

I'll talk at home, to every single person out there and we'll get this sorted.

How can we all stay without you Chinnu? And well, can you-?"

Charan did not dare complete that question. Sadness consumed him and as a brother he had the right to feel that way.

I did not know what to say, for whatever he just said though they were painful words, they were absolutely true.

But, I love him.

This was irrational and bottom-line to everything.

"Charan, calm down please?", pleaded a worried Megha.

"What, why are you asking me to calm down? She is your best friend, Megha!-", Charan shouted .

Charan and Megha never have had a loud argument.

I was the reason.

Megha immediately silenced.

I could see the hurt in her eyes.

Anirudh stood up and said,

"Charan, let's first wait for Veera to say something. Let's not jump into conclusions. Also, in the mean time, let Chinnu talk to Deep-"

Anirudh didn't complete the sentence and someone so handsome and gleaming with his fancy clothing and heart-killing smile looked into my eyes as I notice those cutest pair of dimples just elegantly dip on his cheeks.

Deepak stood there with a box of chocolates and a bouquet of flowers. Akhila followed him.

My heart fluttered and swimmer with fear at the same time. Also, I secretly thanked God that it was only Akhila who was there to invite Deepak in.

Imagine if it were Ma or any other elderly person at home? I shuddered.

Frankly speaking, I didn't want to know the truth. It would just break me down.

Charan was silent too, just glaring at Deepak while Megha held his hand to calm him down.

Deepak however seemed not analyse the situation. The smile that his lips drew seemed as if he had sealed them with super glue!

He took a step forward and acknowledged everyone with a nod.

"Hi everyone, what a pleasant surprise, all of you together at this hour."

Silence walked proudly into the Common Room. I didn't dare take my eyes of my toes. If I have to have a conversation personally, it's better to befriend this quite stare for a while.

Another scoop of fear topped my feeling.

What is going to happen?

"Congratulations!", blurted Megha.

Now all eyes were onto her. He did address the elephant in the room, didn't she?

"Wha-?", questioned a puzzled Deepak as his eyes travelled back towards me.

"Germany", I whispered and my face fell.

I held Anirudh's hand as tight as possible to stop those tears waiting for a trigger to spill out.

"Oh!", laughed Deepak.

Well, this wasn't the worst part.

He started laughing out loudly like a hysterical person.

No, not even close to the worst part.

"Oh, that was a SMALL PRANK on Chinnu!"

And there it was!

He was so oblivion about what my family went through and there he stood, pulling all the strings!

Before I could realise how I was feeling about this, I heard a loud trashing sound.

Veera hurried out her room as we all witnessed with shocked eyes  with what happened.

A raged Charan had just slapped
Deepak.
