Chinmayi's POV:
My cousins and me had selected an amazing place for the love birds to enjoy their first date. Also, secretly Veera and me booked a table for Bhai and Diya Bhabhi; a table far away from Charan and Megha of course. The rest of us planned to go window shopping and hog street food!
That's right, we are awesome!
Giggles, laughter and teasing filled the air. It was awesome to be a part of all of this.
My best friend and my brother!
I felt like Ross from F. R. I. E. N. D. S.
He he!
True love, aye! It's still a mystery to me. I believe in the theory though, after looking at two amazing pairs in my family itself.
As we slowly climbed down the stairs to reach the ground floor of the mansion, I noticed Dr. Eeshwar Joshi with his family, probably waiting to meet the elders of the family to take their leave.
I nudged Veera at their direction and told her that we should first show our hospitality to them before we leave for dinner outside. She knows Dr. Joshi well and so, it was of course obvious to take her along with me.
"Hello Dr. Joshi!", Veera addressed Eeshwar.
"Eeshwar please, Veera."
Veera smiled and both of them walked a little that side to have a conversation
"Thank you Joshi uncle for saving our Bhai and Bhabhi's lives.", I said.
"No formalities beta. How are they doing now?"
"God's grace uncle ji, they are doing fine. Is there anything I can help you with?"
"No no beta, thank you. We are waiting for your parents... And, by the way, you have met Eeshwar, my first son and this is Deepak, my younger son. He's an engineer, just like you... Now working for an MNC."
I turned to look at the person who was tall and thin to greet him.
But he suddenly turned his and started walking!
I saw him holding a phone near his ear to figure out that he would have got a call!
That's rude!
"Oh, sorry beta, he just came from back yesterday evening from America. So that's why he is a experiencing a bit of jet lag and is also little held up..."
"Oh-oh. Its okay uncle."
"This is my wife Dr. Lakshmi Venkat Joshi..."
I looked at a short and fair lady, in her late 40's draped in magenta and gold silk saree wearing light make up and matching jewellery. She looked so beautiful and graceful.
"Hello aunty, namaste", I said with folder palms.
"Namaste beta. God bless you!"
I smiled.
I glanced at Veera and Dr. Eeshwar. They were engrossed in the conversation.
I turned back to enquire if I could help them.
"Should I call Papaji?"
"Oh-Umm- Yes beta. Where is everyone? We'd love to meet them."
"Oh, everyone is upstairs uncle... I'll lead the way, please-"
"Eeshwar and Deepak, please come.", called Lakshmi aunty.
Veera followed Dr. Eeshwar. I still couldn't figure out the face of Deepak. He was still over his phone and nodded at his mother's call.
