Recap:
"Yeah, today's Saturday na, so lunch in the garden, we'll let you know there..."
My jaw dropped.
'Let us know'?
Since when were these people starting to have secrets huh? That's not correct. And damned hell I was right about something being there. I just didn't know that Veera was also involved.
"Oye, Chinnu, zyada math soch, I'll tell you okay?"
[Translation: Don't think too much]
*Uggghhhhh*
He gets me right, again!
"Ok ok. I am not thinking too much and all. Now you go and study!" I try to cover it all up.
And yet, a million thoughts pop my head...

Chinmayi's POV:
It was lunch time and most importantly, it was Saturday afternoon. This meant, our lunch venue was at our garden. The mere thought filled me with happiness as I imagined the fresh air caressing as we settled under the canopy formed by the trees planted by dhadha.
Today, however, there was a little bit of tension building in my heart from an annoying emotion called curiosity. We cousins never kept secrets from each other, but for the first time this happened. I slowly started to understand the seriousness behind this as Charan decided to directly to all of us during lunch.
The question that was bothering me the most was, " Is Veera doing fine?"
As I walked to the Mansion's garden along with Anirudh, I saw that everybody, including my grandparents had already arrived. Anirudh nudged me to not walk with a straight face and asked me to smile. My eyes glanced to the direction in which Veera was sitting.
Yes, she did look dull and right next to her sat Charan. We nervously went and sat next to him. As Ram Bhai was helping in serving the tastiest heavy lunch prepared by Ma and my aunts, I saw everyone slowly munching the food in silent ecstasy.
After five minutes of awkwardness,
(obviously experienced only by me)
*Sighs *
Charan cleared his throat. This made me jump and I started getting hiccups. Everyone started laughing as Akhila poured a glass of water and gave me.
*Curiosity, fear, worry, suspense, etc, etc kills me, people.*
"Sambaalke khaao Chinmayi" Badima told me.
I nodded and gave her a smile.
Charan knew why I was suffering such a plight and chuckled beside me.
*Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa*
After some time, when the meal was almost over, I felt Charan stiffen. He nudged to alert me and then, once again cleared his throat.
"Daada, daadi, Bade-papa, badi-ma, ma-papa, chachu, chaachi" , he slowly addressed everyone trying to seek their attention...
Ok this is it!
"A week ago, our Veera completed one year in her company-" And before he could continue, there was whooos and wows and grins.
Clearling his throat again, Charan continued, " She got a mail which had her performance analysis and the company is extremely happy with her talent and commitment. " Now there were more whoos and wows which were louder than the befre ones and I saw brighter grins breaking the elders' lips.
