*mentions of homophobia, none actually occurs, that we see*
KARL POV:
I walk out the school and see my friends waiting. Just as I approach them, a phone rings. We check our phones, and it's Sapnap's ringing.
"Hi Mom... yeah, I texted you... Karl's house, why?... I don't care Mom, we're all going there... get a grip Mom... no... ok... fine, call you when we get there,"
He hangs up.
"Mom still hates my family I guess?" I say, sarcastically.
Sapnap sighs and runs a hand down his face.
"Yeah, just... let's go,"
The five of us turn to the left, and start walking. I take Sapnap's hand, and Quackity takes his other. We all walk along, till we turn into a road. Sapnap groans, drops our hands and drags Dream ahead.
"Why did they go off?" George asks.
"This is his road. If his neighbour's see anything, and tell his mom..." I trail off. It's no big secret she's incredibly homophobic.
The 3 of us left fall into silence.
I look at George. He seems off. I tilt my head, and focus.
"You like Dream!" I gasp.
Quackity bursts out laughing, and George goes bright red.
"Shut up. Is it that obvious?" He asks, worried.
"Yeah. But Dream is very oblivious so, you'll be fine," I say, trying to reassure him.
"And besides," I add, "we can be your wingmen,"
At this suggestion, Quackity bursts into another fit of laughter. George groans and shrugs defeatedly. I beam. I love doing that. Admittedly, sometimes the relationships turn out, well, bad.
Soon, we've reached the corner of the road, where my road meets Sapnaps. The other 2 wait there, and we continue how we started the walk, with me and Quackity holding Sapnap's hands. I see my house appear, and start dragging the others forward. When we get there, I bounce up and down excitedly. We hadn't all met up since before the summer.
"Look!" I say, pointing. "We have a pride garden!"
Our front yard has roses, tulips, sunflowers, all the most colourful flowers, lined up in a rainbow order. We continue up the drive, and I fish my keys out of my pocket. When I open the door we flood in.
"Dump your stuff here and kick your shoes off," I say.
"Hey, we're home!" I yell.
"Ok! Drinks are in the fridge, grab what you want, and Karl, you know where the snacks are," Mom says.
"Don't eat too much! And boys, feel free to stay for dinner," Ma adds.
I grin. "Drinks?" A round of shaking heads, and we all head upstairs. I open my room, and drop my bag in the corner of my room. Dream sits in my gaming chair, George sits on floor near him, Quackity flings himself on my bed, and Sapnap sits on the floor, back against the wall. I sit down next to him and put my head in his lap. He starts fiddling with my hair and I grin.
"We haven't all met up in ages," George remarks. Dream leans forward in the chair, and laughs.
"You look like an evil maniac when do you that- but not when you start wheezing," Sapnap says dryly. I giggle.
"Check with your parents if you can stay for food," I say, and they all take out their phones. Dream, George and Quackity confirm, and I look up at Sapnap.
"I sent a text, and now she's calling me," He sighs. He picks up, and turns on speakerphone.
"Hi Mom," he sighs.
"Sapnap,"
A silence.
"So I asked if I could stay for dinner?"
