3RD PERSON FOLLOWING TECHNO (trying 3rd person pog (also past tense flashback-y themes?))
Techno arrived home from school later than his brothers that day. He could hear them playing Minecraft when his dad calls him into the kitchen.
"Any luck yet mate?" He says, leaning over the counter. Techno had turned 17 a few weeks back, the middle child. He shook his head, knowing what Phil had meant.
"Well, good luck. And, don't feel bad, your brother hasn't got his yet,"
Techno nods and leaves the room silently. Why are soulmates such a big deal anyway? It's not like Techno could see himself with anyone, he'd be happy with just living by himself with dogs.
It was only when Eret did a presentation for the class talking about different sexualities he started to wonder. He spent hours that night on his laptop, either talking to his friends or digging deeper and deeper in Google.
A few weeks later, after extensive research he found a label he was comfortable with. Aromantic.
He gradually told his friends, and to Techno's delight, they were all supportive, some (Eret and Niki) even helped him tell his family.
Coming up to a year later, Techno is happy with his "lack of romance", and now also identifies as ace.

Little chapter for aro and ace people because me and Jared love you all and are valid! (I mean, I'm also ace and it's really nice for me to see ace people as well, especially people I love)
Aro ace people exist, and in this sort of AU I think it's extra important to have some rep! So in my little AU, Technoblade the mighty is Aro Ace.
A sad little side note- people are being suprised when I use all pronouns for Eret?? First, they use all pronouns, why wouldn't I use them for her, I'm a decent human being, and second, the fact people are suprised makes me sad, because it means other authors don't use them and that's sad.
