KARL POV:
"So, how did your parents react when you came back on New Years?" Dream laughs.
"Oh, when I cane came stumbling through the door at 2AM, looking drunk? They loved it. Luckily I'm smooth and got out of being grounded," Sapnap says sarcastically.
"You're grounded?" I ask.
"Mm, maybe? I didn't hear much after- so how were you're friends?"
Then, there's a knock at the door. I peer out the front window of our lounge, pushing George over to get on the couch.
"Oh, it's everyone's favourite woman," I sigh.
"Seriously?" Sapnap rolls his eyes.
I hear my mom walking down the hallway and rush in front of her.
"I got this, you go chill," I smirk.
"Karl, what are you planning?" I hear Sapnap say.
"Nothing, it's fine," I say, gently pushing her away from the door. I only open it when I'm the only person visible from the door.
"Hi, my mom's aren't in, can I help you?" I beam fakely.
"Yes. I know my son is here, let me see him," She demands.
"Sapnap?" I say innocently.
"Yes, you know that, you-" She cuts herself off.
"No, no, go on," I challenge.
At that moment, a car stops outside the house. A figure gets out and starts walking up.
"Dear Lord. Don't talk back to me, child," She spits.
"Why? I'm not your son, thankfully," I respond.
"Karl? You ok? Who is this? Is this a bad time?" My dad asks, reaching us.
"Oh, no one. It's fine, we're done here," I breeze, turning my back on her.
"Feel free to go away and not come back," I say, casting one more look at her over my shoulder before I slam the door in her face.
"Who was that?" He asks, as I turn back around.
"Oh, just an nasty person," I brush off. "My mom's are in the kitchen, I'll be chilling in the lounge,"
He nods. "Talk to you in a bit," He says, heading to the kitchen. I go back into the lounge where my friends are waiting.
"What did you do?" Quackity laughs.
"Oh, not much," I laugh back. "Just told her to go away and not come back,"
I sit down on the floor, near Quackity.
"What did she say in response?" Sap asks.
"Uh, nothing. That I heard. I shut the door in her face. But before that she was about to insult me,"
"Awh, sorry," He says apologetically.
"No worries. Anyway- what were we talking about?"
"Oh, just the fact that-"
"Q. No," Sap warns.
I giggle. "Now I really want to know,"
"No, Sapnap was just-" Dream smirks before getting cut off.
"Dude. No,"
"I was pointing out the fact that-"
Sapnap flies across the room and covers Quackity's mouth.
"Nope,"
At this point, he's stretched out across both of our laps, hand reaching up.
"When you got up he stared at your ass," George fills in quickly. My jaw drops.
"George," He fumes.
I laugh. "Someone's down bad,"
"Fuck off," Sap grumbles, not meeting my eyes.
"Karl, can you come in here?" Ma calls.
"Sure," I call back. "Shove," I say to Sap, pushing him off.
"Eyes down lover boy," I hear Dream say as I leave the room.
"Shut up,"
"Yeah Ma?" I say, walking in.
"Who was at the door? And were you rude to them?"
"Uh, it was Sapnap's mom? And I only applied the same energy she was giving me," I shrug.
"Yeah?" Mom says, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, she was about to insult me," I insist.
"She was," Dad agrees.
"See?" I say.
"Alright kiddo. Have fun with your friends," Ma laughs.
I duck back into the living room and sit on the couch, Sapnap still lying on the floor.
"Heey, you stole my spot," Sapnap whines.
"Too bad, so sad," I say, sticking my tounge out at him.
"You know, watching these 3 is like watching a Hollywood
romance," Dream remarks.
"And watching you 2 is watching an over dramatic soap where one second you're in love, the next fighting," Quackity responds.
"Fair," George nods.
"No, how dare you?" Dream gasps dramatically.
"I'm sorry Dream, it's over," George responds.
"No, it can't be!" Dream laughs. Everyone starts laughing with him.
"Going back to the point, Karl you stole my seat, give it back," Sapnap frowns.
"You moved," I laugh. "And it's my house,"
"Still," He huffs.
"There's literally space for you to go sit up there too, idiot," Quackity laughs.
"Yeah, unlike you, I don't lie across the entire couch," I tease.
"No one else was sitting there," He shrugs in response.
George rolls his eyes. "Just sit on the sofa, if Karl doesn't move, sit on him, and shut up about it,"
"Ooh, sassy," Dream laughs.
Sapnap stands up, and sits down on the couch next to me and sticks his tongue out at me.
"You two are like 5 year olds," George laughs.
We both stick our tongues out at him. Ha.
