56: Yeah... about that...

GEORGE POV:

"Yeah, I've got to go now, my mom wants me to go eat now," Sapnap says, disconnecting from the server.

"Bye!" Bad says.

He disconnects from the call too.

"I think I've got to go now too," Bad says, logging off as well.

"See ya," Dream says.

After he leaves, Dream laughs.

"Just the 2 of us now,"

I smile. "What time is it, I might need to go too?"

"Uhh, 8ish? You lot eat early," Dream complains.

"Well I'm sorry," I joke.

"George, food," My mum yells from the kitchen.

"Oh, yep, I've got to go soon,"

"Ah, alright,"

I hear my mum coming up the stairs, and disconnect from the Minecraft server.

"Byyee, love you," He smiles.

"Love you too," I say, hanging up just as my mum comes in.

"Ooh, love you? Again? I have perfect timing," She jokes.

I roll my eyes, pushing back from my desk, putting my headset down.

"I was coming, what's for dinner?"

"Oh, just pasta,"

I nod. I get up and follow her downstairs. I grab a dish from the counter and serve myself some food, joining her at the table.

"So, who were you talking to?" She laughs.

"Just some friends," I dismiss, waving my fork.

"Yeah? And you said love you?"

"Yeah," I say, looking at my plate.

"Ooh, have you got a girlfriend? I've heard you saying love you several times, you can't lie,"

"You have terrible timing," I sigh.

"C'mon, you can tell me. Who is she? Is she pretty?"

I don't respond, and I feel her staring at me whilst I eat.

"Oh, alright, don't tell me if you've got a girlfriend,"

I cough. "Yeah, about that..."

"Ooh, he's opening up," She laughs.

"Um, if I were dating someone, you'd be fine with it, right?"

"Of course, I have no issue. Whoever it is, she's a lucky girl,"

"Um, that's sort of the catch,"

The room falls silent.
I glance up at her, and I can see in her eyes, she's slowly working it out.

"I have a boyfriend,"

"Aren't you the one who'd be insisting for years to his friends I'm straight, shut up," She laughs.

"Yeah, uh, stuff changed," I smile.

"No duh. Who is he, he better be very good-looking to have changed your mind,"

I bite back a smile.

"You know him,"

"Stop teasing me," She whines.

"You're like a 5 year old sometimes Mum,"

"Pleeaase,"

"Alright. He has a sister-"

"James!" She bursts out.

"Mum. I don't know a James," I laugh.

"Oh. More clues!" She insists.

"Tall,"

"No suprise, you're short,"

"Mum! He's blonde, he's very sweet, and I've known him for ages,"

"Oh, oh, uhhh, what's his name..."

I stare at her, waiting for it to sink in.

"Oh, just tell me," She bursts out.

"Dream,"

"Oh- ooh," She laughs.

"Yup," I smile. "Soulmates too,"

"Oh, good for you. Wait, he was the one in the hospital every day, right?"

I nod.

"Awh," She smiles.

I smile back at her. She might be a bit blunt sometimes, but I love my mum.

I hear a knock on the door, and get up.

"Oh, hey Dream," I smile, letting him in.

"Hey. Your mum out?" He asks.

"No, I actually told her," I smile.

"Oh, great," He smiles, hgging me. I hug him back, burying my face in his chest. I'm glad I told my mum.

look at me, writing this the day before i post it. ngl i have inspo, and will just write lots of chaps to tey and keep posting daily, and i wanna try doing big chapters over the weekends :D
