RANBOO POV:
I keep my head down as I walk through the school, trying to blend in. I know it's pointless when you're my height, but I may as well try it. Suddenly I bump into someone who comes up to elbow. Ha, short.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry," he says, looking up at me.
"No, it's me fault, I should've paid attention. You're Tubbo right?" I ask, recognising him.
"Yeah! And you're Ranboo, the one person Techno can tolerate in this entire building," he laughs.
I frown slightly. Without realising we had started walking towards our homeroom.
"The only person? I knew he wasn't that sociable, but just one?"
"Well, aside from Wilbur, but their relationship is strange," he corrects.
We walk into the room, and drop into our seats. Somehow we'd sat next to each other for a week and not communicated. But that happens when no one likes you or their best friend is on their other side. Speaking of him, Tommy shoots Tubbo a look, which I know what it means.
Why were you with him?
I see it a lot. It hurt at first, but you get used to it. I remember what Tubbo said about Technoblade earlier and chuckle. We are similar, choosing to spend breaks in the library, studing history or eating alone outside.Ha, I have a sad life. Nice, but passersby would find it depressing. Lost in thought, I don't hear Tubbo saying my name until he smacks me.
"Huh?" I say, confused. He was talking to Tommy, why would he need me.
"Please help me. Tell Tommy it's not fair to make fun of me for my height," he pleads.
I chuckle again as I glance at him, then everyone in our row.
"You might need to appeal to a shorter row Tubbo,"
He huffs and turns around to the people in the back.
"George, Quackity, tell this lot making fun of people for being short isn't nice,"
At this point the entire row had turned around to look at them. Techno raises an eyebrow.
"What? Why are you asking me?" George asks.
"Because you're short Gogy," Tubbo shrugs.
We all burst out laughing as George frowns.
"Actually, George is average height, don't make fun of him. Make fun of Quackity instead," Dream chips in. I could've sworn I saw George blush, but Wilbur distracts me.
"Yeah, if you want short, ask Tommy, or Niki, they're short,"
"Oi, you prick!" Tommy shouts.
From the front of the room we hear a faint 'Language!'
and Tommy huffs.I laugh, and for once I feel like part of a group. Then everyone goes back to their conversations, and I sigh.
"Ranboo? You just gonna stare off into space all day?" Techno asks.
"What? Er, no I got distracted," I reply hurriedly.
"Thank you. Now, do you agree with me or Wil- fencing and sword fighting are two different things?"
"Well yeah," I shrug.
"Sword fighting is about injuring, it's heavy and while graceful, has a type of clunkyness around it. Fencing is softer, though it's fast paced, has a sort of elegance and enigma," I reply. Wilbur snorts and Techno beams."God, now there's 2 of you," Wilbur groans.
"I knew I was right when I decided you were cool," Techno annouces.
Me. I'm cool? I'm so wrapped up in my thoughts I don't even notice the teacher walk in and start registration.
Suddenly I feel a sharp prod.
"Ranboo?" The teacher says, peering over their glasses."Register," Tubbo whispers.
"Oh, here," I say, as people shoot glances at me.
"Mate, you completely zoned out there," Tommy says as the teacher waves a hand, and lets us talk.
"Sorry, I do that a lot," I apologise.
"God, you fit right in with Techno, you do. You know what?" Tommy leans back to look me dead in the eye.
"You should come over afterschool,""Wha-" I splutter. Me?
"Yeah, Dadza would be glad Techno made a friend,"
"What, we're not friends, we barely speak," I force myself to say.
"Yeah, I reckon he's said more to you than he's ever said to anyone else in this room. Except us," he adds.
"You should, Ranboo, their Dad is so chill, and I'm going too," Tubbo says. He cracks a smile. "It can be a "second to last row" meetup,"
"Ok," I say. New friends won't hurt, right?

Ooh, two chapters in a day, and Ranboo content, I wonder why. Could it be intense procrastination?
