TOMMY POV:
"Tommy, you got everything?" Dad asks for the tenth time.
"Yes Phil," I sigh, starting to walk towards the bus.
"Have a nice trip boys!" Mum smiles.
"Bye," We all wave. I drop into a seat next to Tubbo, who had arrived earlier.
"Ranboo couldn't come?" I ask, secretly pleased.
"No, his parents didn't want him to, they had something on," Tubbo shrugs. "Meaning we can hang out like we used to!" He says brightly.
Yeah. I missed that, but Ranboo's a pretty cool dude. Too tall though. And old.
More people load onto the bus, and then more newcomers are directed into the bus behind us.
I sigh. This is gonna be a long weekend.
~~timeskip~~
"Right, hello campers! As you can see, clearly, there's no tents near us. That's because, you guys need to go find our campsite," Our overly cheerful guide says.
Everyone groans. How are we not gonna get lost? Even the teachers look slightly worried.
"Don't worry, you'll be in groups, with a map and compass. Speaking of groups, get into groups of about 5 or 6. Some of you might have more people, but pick well. These will be the people in your tents, and the people you're gonna spend the entire weekend with,"
I look at Tubbo. He nods. I look over my shoulder at Wilbur and Techno, and they both nod too. 4. We need more people... Wait. Didn't Jack come?
I glance around, and I see him, hovering around the front. "Jack," I hiss. He turns around, startled. "Wanna be in our group?"
He nods. Pog.
As people move into groups, the guides and teachers hand out our maps. Wilbur takes it and begins studying it.
"Off you go, no need to wait!" She chirrups.
Wilbur stops us all from moving, looking up from the map.
"If we can figure out where we are now before we start moving, then we can make quicker, smarter decisions,"
"Ooh, look at you," I joke.
"Can we hurry up though? I have a very heavy rucksack on my back and it's starting to get very uncomfortable," Tubbo asks.
"This way," Wilbur says, pointing behind him.
"That's the way we came. Why that way?" Techno asks.
"The campsite is in those woods, on the other side of the track, on the hill," Wilbur points. "Look, if I line up the map with the compass-"
"Ok, boy scout, we get it. Let's go," Jack laughs.
"Aren't all the other teams going into that forest?" Tubbo asks, looking back at them.
"But they're dumb," I say. He shrugs, accepting my statement.

SAPNAP POV:
"This way," Dream says, pointing towards a feild.
"Dude, everyone else is going into a woods. Are you even looking at the map?" I say.
"No, Karl has it,"
"Yeah, slight issue," Karl mutters. Our group stop and all face him, concerned.
He holds up the map. Or what used to be the map. There are pieces torn off, rips separating the paper, smudges blurring the ink and more. Shit.
"Whoops," Skeppy laughs.
"What happened?" Bad asks, in shock.
"I don't know, they gave us the sleeve for the stuff, and I took out the map, and it looked like this," He shrugs.
"I'll go back and see if there's a spare, don't go anywhere,"
"Where would we be without you?" Quackity laughs. "Seriously, Bad, no clue how but without you we'd have no idea what's going on, ever,"
Bad smiles, and heads off back to where a few teachers
are still stood.
"Where's all the other groups going?" George asks, looking around us. I do too, and see one group in the field near us, a few walking on the edge of the woods, and one walking away from us.
Bad returns, looking grim.
"They didn't have more maps,"
"What- how do you not have maps?" Dream scoffs.
"We can't use this," Karl says, waving the ruined map around.
"Well, we'll have to," George sighs, taking it.
~~timeskip~~
"How. The fuck. Do you manage. To get lost in a field?" I complain, looking around at the vast nothingness surrounding us.
"Language! And we're trying our best with a messed up map," Bad says, looking up from the map he and Karl were studying.
"This is classic," Quackity laughs.
"Q. It's 1, we were meant to be at the camp site an hour ago. We're fucked, let's be honested,"
"No, it is quite funny," Dream smiles.
Everyone else nods, and I laugh.
"Yeah. How did we get lost when we could have followed another group?" I say in disbelief.

TOMMY POV:
We reach the campsite, or what I think is the campsite. The tents are waiting for us to pitch up, the only utilities are a falling apart toliet block and a rotten gazebo, and the wind makes the already cold area freezing.
"Are you ok Tommy?" Wilbur laughs.
"Let's go home now," I say, turning to face him.
The group laughs and I wallow in self pity. Why Dadza, why?
