( TWENTY-SIX )
***
Finding Charlie and Ketch wasn't difficult. All it took was a little interrogation, intimidation and the information was handed to them. Positioned outside the abandoned house where angels kept Charlie and Ketch in, most likely chained and tortured, Lexi gripped her angel-blade in a tight grasp as she stood outside the door, Sam and Dean either side of her. Yells were heard from inside, a few screams as well, before Dean kicked down the door. Every head turned to the Winchester's, the angels charging towards them.
Lexi dodged as one of the angels threw a swing at her, then kicking the back of his knees so he stumbled over. This gave her the advantage to raise her angel-blade and aim for his heart, but she was too slow. The angel turned, grabbing her wrist and twisting her arm in a painful click. Lexi gritted her teeth in pain but she kept a firm grip on the blade. With her other hand, she grabbed the back of the angels head by his hair and forcefully yanked his head down, lifting her knee to collide with his forehead in a swift manner. The angel let go of her wrist to hold his face. This gave her an opening to quickly drive the blade through his heart, and she did just that.
Pushing the limp body to the floor, she turned around to check on her brothers, who seemingly needed no help as they threw dead vessels to the ground. Sam ran over to a tied up and beaten Charlie, checking if she were okay before untying her, while Dean untied Ketch.
Lexi stood awkwardly as Sam hugged Charlie. Lexi had never met the Charlie from her world, but she had heard great things about her. Not much though, as every time she was brought up, the boys didn't seem too eager to talk about her due to the pain of the memories. Yet, Sam and Dean had always said that their sister would've liked her if she were still here. But all Lexi did know was that Charlie was an intelligent accomplice of the boys, who tragically died helping them on a case. As Lexi saw her for the first time, she realised why her brothers liked her so much.
The tired girl weakly smiled up at Sam, and it was the type of smile that was contagious. Her red hair was a tangled mess yet still framed her face perfectly. There was no doubt that Charlie was pretty, and her intelligence simply added to it.
After Sam awkwardly let go of Charlie after realising this wasn't the Charlie he knew. This Charlie had met Sam before, but she didn't know him like the last one.
As Charlie's eyes turned to the blonde girl, Lexi held up her hand in a quick wave. "Hey." She smiled, which Charlie gracefully returned.
The Winchesters helped Ketch and Charlie back to camp. No words were exchanged during the journey back, but it was peaceful. As they entered the dark camp, they were immediately approached by Bobby while Ketch and Charlie were ushered into the makeshift infirmary.
