Sitting on a bench outside the station, Lexi watched as paramedics rushed a stroller with a boy laying upon it into an ambulance. Jack sat beside her while Sam and Dean stood by the impala.

Turning to look at Jack, her eyes softened. "Are you okay?" She asked.

Jack lifted his eyes off the ground and stared ahead, "I think so." He replied, his voice being it's usual monotone way.

Letting out a sad sigh, Lexi shook her head, "Look, i'm sorry that Cas isn't here, and that he can't protect you." She began to say, "But Sam and I, we'll keep you safe. Dean is convinced that you're dangerous but I don't see that in you. So, I won't let him, or anyone else, hurt you." She told him, being entirely genuine. At this, Jack turned his head to look at her, his blue eyes sad. Lexi gave him a small smile, "I promise."

Lexi was never the type to make false promises, she always kept to her word. This was one of those times. For some reason, she saw herself in Jack. Just a scared child, alone in a dangerous world with no family. That was until she found a family that loved and cared for her. She wanted that for Jack.

"Thank you." Jack replied, mirroring her small smile. With such a sweet smile that he possessed, it was almost unbelievable that he contained such power inside him. To Lexi, he just seemed like an innocent boy.

The car came to a stop in front of the small house where Kelly's and Cas's bodies still remained. Closing the car door behind her, Lexi stared up at the house, an eerie feeling grew over her.

Walking over to Dean digging in the trunk, she listened in on her brothers' conversation.

"Are you sure about this, Dean?" Sam questioned, his worry for his brother showing. "I mean, it's Cas, you know? Maybe we can bring him back, like you said."

Dean looked away from the trunk and up at Sam, "No, we can't." He said.

"Chuck did." Lexi jumped in, "Well, God did."

Sam nodded, "Yeah, so, maybe if we prayed to him or-or..."

"You don't think I've tried that?" Dean cut him off. "God's not listening. He doesn't give a damn." He added before slamming the trunk shut and storming away.

Letting out a sigh of frustration, knowing to leave her brother alone when he gets like this, she turned to Jack. "Come on." She whispered before motioning her head towards the house and walking to the door, Jack and Sam following behind her.
