A few days later, Lexi sat in the map room with her laptop open in front of her. A wikipedia page of "Nephilim Lore." was plastered on the screen. Despite reading every single book in the bunker with information on Nephilim's, she still felt as if there was more to know. Not only did she want to know the possibilities of Jack's powers, but she also wanted to help understand him a little more. However, so far, she hadn't found anything that she didn't already know.
After a while of knowing Jack, Lexi started to class him as her friend. She didn't have many friends her own age. She had only met Claire and Alex, the two girls who were living with Jody, once and she still didn't get along with them that well. Alex was very much the opposite of Lexi, she wanted a normal life and to be prom queen at school, she was the type of girl Lexi would stay clear of at school. Claire, on the other hand, was almost the exact same to Lexi. They both were extremely stubborn and didn't like to do anything they were told. Claire and Lexi also wanted to hunt 24/7, and wanted nothing close to a normal life. Despite being so similar, they had only met once and even then, they didn't talk much.
Just as Lexi was about to go onto a different website, the sound of her brothers' boots stomping against the hard floor announced their enterance. Looking up, she half smiled at them, "Hey." she casually greeted.
"Hey." Sam replied, "We found a case." He announced.
Lexi nodded and closed her laptop, "Okay, I'll go get my stuff." She said before standing up from her seat.
"Actually," Dean spoke up, "We're gonna take this case alone."
Lexi furrowed her brows slightly before slowly sitting back down. "Oh." She nodded, "Okay." She wasn't offended, just slightly surprised. Since she joined the small team, she had gone on every case with them. So, for them to take a case without her was slightly new to her.
Sam, being the polite person than he always was, felt the need to explain. "Yeah, we haven't taken a case just us two in a while so we thought it would be fun." He explained, "And plus, we need someone to watch over Jack."
"Oh," Lexi scoffed, "So I'm on babysitting duty?"
It wasn't that she didn't want to stay home and spend time with Jack, but it's the fact that she was simply being told to keep an eye on him so his power don't go haywire. She knew Jack better than that, he wasn't a ticking time bomb.
Sam shook his head, "No, it's not babysitting. Just hang out with him. And besides, you need a distraction from hunting anyway." He stated. He was right, Lexi was exhausted from hunting almost every single day, she needed a break. However, she also didn't want to miss out on any hunts.
