There'd been another murder. Same injuries, same blue lips. Dean and Castiel were investigating it whilst the rest of the team stayed at the motel.

Sam spoke on the phone with Dean, on speaker, as Dean explained the letter that 'Noah' left for them. Rowena, Jack and Lexi sat in the motel room, listening to the phone call.

Lexi listened to the call. Well, she heard the words, but she didn't take any of it in. Her eyes were glued on the boy across the table, her mind racing through her thoughts. Something was wrong with Jack, she knew it and he was lying about it. She had no proof, just a feeling. Perhaps she was just paranoid since he came back, but the voice in the back of her head was usually right.

"But he can't see Cass and Jack?" Dean's voice through the phone grabbed Lexi's attention.

"It's an odd and glaring omission." Cas added

"No. It's our shot." Sam said, "I mean, this guy, for some reason, he can't see angels."

Jack held his hands up in defence, "I'm not an angel?"

"Well, apparently you're close enough." Said Dean.

"So, if Jack and I approach Noah on our own, we may surprise him."

"It's risky." Lexi spoke up for the first time in a while, leaning back in her chair, "What if we're wrong?"

Sam shrugged, "I think it's probably our best play."

"Rowena, get your tracking spell ready." Dean said before hanging up.

"Okay. Everything you need?" Sam turned to Rowena.

"Aye, but I should mix up an antidote to the gorgon's poison in case one of you boys gets sloppy. I'll just need a wee bit of antivenom."

Lexi frowned up at the witch, "Antivenom is a controlled substance. How do you—"

"Don't worry. I have a plan"

The 'plan' was stupid. But after some theft, magic and acting, they got the antivenom. Lexi and Jack sat in the backseat of Sam's car while Sam and Rowena talked outside, the car parked outside the Vet clinic.

"You okay?" Lexi asked after staring at the boy for a while.

Jack had his hands resting in his lap, staring down at them to avoid eye contact. He then inhaled and put on a wide smile, turning to Lexi, "I'm fine." He lied.
