Souls swirled around them, pummelling into graves and making the ground shake. When hands and heads started to reach out of the dirt, panic set in.

Bodies rose from their graves, groaning like zombie's as they stumbled to their feet. The Winchesters's and the angel just stood there, watching helplessly as possessed rotting bodies headed towards them from all directions.

Dean acted first. He gripped iron bars from a fence and pulled them out of the frame. He handed one to Sam, then moved to pulled out another for Lexi. But as he handed it to her, she didn't make a move to take it. She just cradled Jack's lifeless body, refusing to let go.

"Lexi!" Dean yelled, giving up and simply dropping the iron bar beside her where she can easily grab it.

Possessed bodies grew closer and closer, groaning and hissing as they moved. They were surrounded from every corner, nowhere to go with the only option to fight.

All of this. Every fight, every monster and death in their lives. Everything was fake. It was all a plot planted by Chuck. Now they stood alone in battle, without an entity guiding them, they didn't know if they could survive.

God was never was on their side.

The souls leaped for them, their rotting hands stretched out to grab and hit them. Sam, Dean and Cas swung their weapons, casting the souls out of the bodies as soon as the iron hit them.

But they couldn't stray far from Lexi, who was sat frozen beside Jack's body, staring down at him with blank glossy eyes. She couldn't move, she couldn't barely think. And even with the iron rod beside her, she didn't move to use it and fight. So, Dean protected her back from every soul that tumbled her way.

As one got close, too close, and Lexi didn't try to move even as she saw it coming. When Dean barely managed to cast the soul out it's body in time, he started to get fed up with Lexi's shocked state.

"Come on, Lexi!" He exclaimed with frustration.

Then, Cas took action. They couldn't stand around and fight all night.

"Sam! Dean!" He yelled as he motioned at them to run. Then, he rushed over to a crying Lexi and Jack's body. As soon as Cas touched Lexi's shoulder to get her to move, she protested.

"No! I'm not leaving him!" She cried, holding onto Jack for dear life.

"We won't." Cas told her, "We have to move." He insisted before taking Jack out of Lexi's hold and picking him up. Then, he grabbed Lexi's arm and carefully guided her to follow him as he ran through the graveyard.
