You walked down your street quickly, trying your hardest not to look too desperate to get to the meeting spot. You had tried your hardest to dress up, and you looked pretty good for someone who came from the wrong side of the city.

You stopped on the street and looked around. No one was there yet, and you swallowed the urge to admit it was all a joke. You kicked yourself. Always trust your gu-

"Hey ghoul!" Clawdeen and Draculaura walked up to you. Draculaura squealed and clung to you.

"You made it!" She said.

You smiled a little and nodded. "Yeah!"

"Ooh, look who's here!" Frankie grinned, and she also joined the hug.

"Don't forget me!" Lagoona and Abbey walked up, and Lagoona left Abbey in the dust to hug you too.

Everyone pulled away, and you giggled a little. You finally had ghoul friends!

"I'm here."

You turned your head to look at the owner of the voice. A girl with long black hair walked up with a zombie following her. You could tell she was rich, and you nearly threw up. Just one of her heels was worth more than your whole house.

She stopped and looked at you from behind her sunglasses.

"This is the new girl?" She sighed.

"No, she's just going to be in our group from now on." Frankie smiled.

"The normie is?" She seemed irritated with you.

You shrunk back a bit. If you had to guess, she probably had more money in her wallet than what you were worth.

Her eyes cut you in half, and she walked over to you.

"Here." She said, and she tossed you her textbooks. You caught them and frowned. "Come on, ghouls, we don't have all day."

You followed behind her as the zombie took some of the weight out of your arms. You thanked her and walked beside her.

"Ughh." She moaned.

You nodded, understanding her a little from all the years at Monster High.

"I'm (Y/N). Nice to meet you too Ghoulia." You smiled.

She gave you a smile, if that's what you'd call it, back.

I rolled my eyes as I lead the ghouls to school. They really weren't joking about a normie, were they? I could tell she was poor. The poor ghoul, not even having enough to afford real clothes.

Her and Ghoulia talked as they followed me. Normally Ghoulia would be walking beside me. The normie wasn't that interesting! I'm richer, prettier, and cooler than her. What made Ghoulia so into her?

It didn't matter. Pretend like you don't care, Cleo. I kept the resting bitch face on. Pretend like you don't care.

My footsteps signaled for every ghoul and manster to turn their heads towards me, and they watched as my group filled in the courtyard. My stomach turned. That normie was making me look bad, wasn't she?

Manny's eyes widened, and he snorted as he watched her walk past him.

I stopped at my locker, and the normie dropped the rest of my books off with Ghoulia before making her way to her own locker. My eyes watched as Manny strode up to her and pulled her into a cleaning closet.

The bell rang shortly after, but I didn't move from my locker. Manny ran out of the closet, but the normie didn't come out.

It's none of your business.

I shrugged and walked towards my first class. The closet door opened and shut, but I didn't turn back. Whatever happened was none of my business. She wasn't my friend.

I walked in the classroom and shut the door behind me, ruining the urge to look at her. I'm sure whatever happened she didn't deserve...

Stop going soft.

I huffed and forced a smirk onto my face.

"Hey Deuce." I smiled.

He smiled back and patted his lap, and I crawled over him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted my chin.

"Hey, pretty ghoul." He kissed me sweetly.

I rested my head on his chest as we waited for the teacher to get in the classroom.

You gripped the edge of the sink and patted at the cut on your cheek. A sigh escaped your busted lip, and you winced at the pain it caused you.

You couldn't even glare, thanks to the swollen eye you had. It hadn't turned black yet, but you knew it would.

You couldn't lie your way out of this one, could you?

You huffed and dabbed at it a little more, then you threw the paper towel in the trashcan before grabbing your phone and walking out of the bathroom.

Skipping seemed like a good option, and you trotted down the stairs as quickly as possible.

"Hey ghou-What happened?!" Clawdeen rushed over to you and grabbed your hand.

You gave a small smile and ignored the pain it gave you. "I, uh-"

"Manny!" She seethed. "Come on!"

"What're you doing out of class?" You asked.

"Went to the bathroom! Now we are not gonna let him do this!" She smirked, and she led you back to your classroom door.

How did she know?

"As your new beasties, we got your back!" She hugged you before brushing off your sleeve.

"Thank you." You smiled, and you tried to hold back your tears as you spoke.

She walked off, leaving you to walk into the classroom bashfully.

Manny smirked from his seat, watching as you moved to the back of the room. You ignored him and buried your head in a book.

A shadow ruined your story, and you glanced up to see who it was.

Manny laughed at you as he towered above you.

"Didn't think you'd come back to class." He snarled.

You shivered a bit, but ignored him and went back to your book.

He chuckled and walked off, leaving you terrified of what he was going to do next.
