Jax pushed open the bar doors while swinging his keys on his finger. He held a proud grin and shone brightly as he made his way to the counter. The bar was running just fine with you in charge, and he looked around for you. An older woman emerged from a back room with a new bottle of liquor.

"Thanks for taking over, Jax." She smiled. "Your friend hasn't come in yet."

He furrowed his brows. "W-What do ya mean?"

"She hasn't come in. She didn't even clock in."

Jax stepped over to the computer and typed your name in. It showed your last entry being for the day before. He sighed outwardly and pulled out his phone.

He dialed your number and waited patiently for you to answer. You didn't. Jax called again, and again, and again, all while getting the same response: nothing.

"That ain't right." He mumbled, clicking on another contact.

The woman stepped closer to him. "Is she not answering?" She asked.

Jax shook his head no and dialed Jackson's number that he had gotten from your phone. The woman went pale, imagining the worst and tried to call you again.

Her call failed, but Jax received a hesitant "Hello?" from the boy on the other end.

"Hey, this is Jax. Is (Y/N) with ya? She ain't at work."

Jackson hummed. "No, she isn't with me. Try calling Ghoulia." Jax nodded and listened to Jackson as he gave him the number. Jax thanked him and hung up before quickly dialing Ghoulia.

Ghoulia answered, and Jax jumped at her groan.

"Is (Y/N) with you?"

He received the same answer. He frustratedly hung up.

It wasn't like you to just leave and not tell anybody. Where could you have went? What could you possibly be doing? Was it so important that you hadn't even told anyone and just left? Left where though?

The image of Manny popped in his head, and he felt his stomach jump to his throat as he turned to the lady.

"Stay! I gotta go find her!"

Jax didn't wait to hear a response, and instead slung himself from the doors. He decided to walk home the same way you would have walked to school, just to see if he found anything. Not that he thought he would, just to make sure!

The majority of the walk went quickly. He didn't see anything and no one said anything to him when he asked. But as he rounded a corner, a ripped pair of earbuds caught his attention. He picked them up and held them tenderly, rubbing the initials that you wrote on them with his thumb.

Jax felt tears prick his eyes. He lost his daughter. Again.

A scream ripped itself through his chest, and he smashed his phone on the ground in anger. Manny must've taken you. It had to have been Manny!!

He screamed again, this time ramming his fist into the closest wall to him. He was mad. Not sad, not hurt, mad. He was sure that Manny had something to do with your disappearance. But what could he do? Report you to the cops as missing and wait?

No, Jax was done waiting. He didn't want to even think about it. Manny could be doing God knows what to you as he sat around and waited. He wouldn't wait. He was tired of waiting on a prayer from a God that constantly took from him. If anyone was going to save you, it would be him.

But where would he start? The cops? He figured they could give him an idea of where to start.

Jax didn't even think of you being dead as a possibility. No, you were definitely alive and not hurt.

And if you were? Well, Jax didn't want to think about it.

He rushed to the police department and slapped your earbuds on the counter. A lady at the desk gave him a side eye and stared down at what he had slid to her.

"M-My daughter, err, my ro-ommate, she's gone." He huffed. "She was walkin' to work and when I got to her job she wasn't there. I found these, these are hers! She-She's gone. Manny Taur took her! At least I think he did!"

The woman blinked slowly, not giving much thought to him and looking down at her computer instead. "How long has it been?"

"A few hours. Please, what can I do?"

"A few hours?" The woman sighed. "Sir, I don't think she's missing. She's how old?"

"18..."

"She's 18. I'm sure she's out with her friends. Come back tomorrow and if she's still gone then you can fill out a missing persons report."

Jax slammed his hand down on the counter and jabbed his finger at her. "Ya don't fuckin' know her!! Manny harassed her!! He raped her!! Get him and bring her back, dammit!!"

Jax was desperate, and his broken voice showed it. Tears streamed down his face. "Ya don't get it, this isn't like her! My gut tells me she's gone!"

And he was telling the truth. His gut did tell him that you were missing. He knew it was a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.

The woman looked at an officer and nodded. "Sir, just wait until tomorrow-"

"Wait? You want me to fuckin' wait?? While my kid is bein' raped and tortured and used as a God damned sex doll?!!?" He grabbed a chair and slammed it on the ground. "I need help to find her!!"

Multiple officers stood up, cornering him and threatening him with their presence. Jax smirked. "What, I gotta go??"

"Please." The lady hummed. "and return tomorrow."

Jax gave her a hard glare and stalked away from the department. He felt useless. How could he help you if he didn't even know where you were? He regretted it all.

No. Jax couldn't give up! He couldn't regret it all. He didn't regret the threats or the investigating. He was tired of waiting. He couldn't help himself, but he was sure he would help you.

He returned to the bar and grabbed the nearest bottle. He opened it and chugged, not thinking about his newfound sobriety. He didn't want to think about anything. Not you, not his life, not even breathing. He was done.

Jax hopped in his car with the bottle and flew home. As soon as he burst through his door, he continued to down the bottle in a matter of minutes. If he was going to feel the pain of losing you, he was going to be drunk while doing it.
