Teaser for Next Season

*A/N* This is a teaser for the main storyline for Syn next season. It is a departure from what people are used to seeing. Someone from Syn's past comes back into his life and sparks a big change in Syn. With that, I hope you enjoy and brace yourselves!

Syn's POV
I just got the call that I'm on the next season of the Challenge and I am thrilled. Christian is so excited for me and actually says he needs to talk to me about something. I am on my way home from the recording studio with Olivia Rodrigo and I am nervous about what he could want to talk about. As I drive up the long driveway, I see Christian outside finishing up the landscape and man does he look delicious right now. Christian hears me driving up and runs over to my side.

Christian: Hey babe!
Syn: Hey! How was your day?
Christian: Good. How was the studio with Liv?
Syn: Amazing! We just finished the final touches on her debut album.
Christian: I love seeing you doing what you love. Liv is a great girl. I feel bad Josh did that to her.
Syn: Yeah. It has put me in an uncomfortable spot because both of them are like siblings to me and want me to help them with their music. I hate how this whole thing played out.
Christian: I hope we don't end up like that.

Ok. Why the did he say that? Does he think we will break up over someone cheating on the other? Now I'm overthinking everything.

Christian: Babe? You there?
Syn: Yeah.
Christian: I felt like I lost you for a second.
Syn: (whispers) Maybe you did.
Christian: What did you say?
Syn: Nothing. So, what did you want to tell me?
Christian: Oh yeah. So you know how you're going to be competing again on the Challenge?
Syn: Yeah.
Christian: Well, I have a plan to run by you and I'm not sure you will like it.
Syn: Ok now you're scaring me. What is it?

I hear Christian tell me his plan and it seems ridiculous coming from someone I'm about to marry. What normal partner would do that?

Syn: Are you insane? Why would you want me to do that?
Christian: You always wanted to be the villain, right?
Syn: Yeah, but I want to also keep my friends. Everyone will hate me.
Christian: Look, no one will know I came up with this until the second the season airs.
Syn: Not even Mel?
Christian: No. No one can suspect this. I'll play my part and you play yours.
Syn: You sure you're okay with me doing this?
Christian: I wouldn't have suggested it if I thought otherwise.

Well this is a weird development. Do I finally do the one thing I always said I would do and be the villain? It sounds too good to be true. However, I will never get this opportunity again and not have Christian be mad at me. I've never done anything like this but it feels like it is what I need to do to win. If Christian is truly ok with this, then I will say...

Syn: Ok. I will do it. But, I'll have to tell the people I'm involving myself with.
Christian: I know. Choose rookies if you can.
Syn: Ok. Then Challenge house here I come!

I oddly am more excited than ever for this upcoming season. I know what I am about to do will anger a lot of my friends and probably the Challenge fan base, but I have to do this both for Christian and myself. I really hope Christian's plan does not backfire on the two of us. Wish me luck!
