"Lillian?" A familiar voice says. I look up to see the boy I can't seem to stay away from at the door. His expression is so mixed, I can't tell if he's happy or angry to see me.

"Hey," I say, nervously. " I was going to tell you today but since I didn't go to school, I forgot." He takes steps closer.

"What are you doing here?" He asks. I thought he'd be more excited to see me. I mean come on he's the one who's been pushing me to come back.

"I talked to Kreese yesterday and made a deal with him. If I come to the dojo today for practice and want to come back, then I'll stay. But If I don't like it and leave then he has to leave me alone. So I decided to come back" He stops walking when he's standing above me. Silence fills the air. This is so weird. I can't read him, he's normally not this quiet. "Can you please say something"

"I'm just surprised to see you here. I wasn't expecting it." he moves and sits down next to me. I look at him confused. "What?" He asks.

"Are you mad that I'm here. If you are, I can go. It's not a big deal" I start to ramble. I'm nervous about what he has to say. I don't know why he would be mad but It doesn't stop me from thinking that he is.

"No, no. I'm not mad, just surprised. I'm happy you're here. I thought I'd never see you in here again." I watch him examine my face. He leans in and kisses my forehead. "Are you sure you're ok?" He whispers to me.

He's catching on, fuck. "Whew, ok. But yes, I'm fine. I just had a long day. " The expression on his face shows I didn't convince him. He just doesn't want to push it.

"Lillian!" I look up to see Tory walking towards me with a huge smile on her face. "I see you took my advice in many things"

I laugh, "Maybe" I try to hold down the cough that's trying to forcibly come out.

"I'm glad you're finally back home. We defiantly needed another girl after Aisha left and then you" I smile at her as she continues to stand in front of me.

My phone starts buzzing in my pocket. I pull it out to see Miguel's name on the screen for FaceTime. Shit, I don't want to ignore it but if he's seen me here, he'll probably never talk to me again. How am I going to walk to a whole other side of the room without stumbling?

"Hey give me a hand, please," I say to Eli. He stands up and puts my hand in his and pulls me up. I yelp slightly in pain and place my hand quickly on the wall. Worry quickly overcomes his face.

"Lil, what the hell is going on?" He snaps.

"Nothing! I must have pulled something standing up. I'll be right back" I say. I can hear him and Tory start talking as I stumble away. Putting pressure on my legs like this is definitely not helping. I quickly answer Miguel's call as I stand in front of a plain white wall.

"Hey, what's up," I say to him.

"You haven't answered any of my texts. You ok?"

"God, why can't people stop asking me that!" I snap. "Sorry, it's been a long day. I haven't been on my phone much." I gulp..... I hate lying to him about a huge secret like this.

"Sorry, you normally answer really fast. Johnny said he stopped by your house and you weren't there. Said he asked your mom and she doesn't know where you are either. We were going to ask if you wanted to go to some club with us later." Crap.

How do I come up with an excuse on where I am if I can't lie and say I'm with my mom.

"I uh- Stayed after school today! I needed to make up some work that I've missed. But what time are you guys going? I may be able to make it" I ask
