Ch. 2: My Saviour

Your brows furrow as you see Hyunjin smiling weirdly as he looks at you. Seriously, what is he even thinking of right now?

"Yah, are you okay or what?" you ask him rather rudely but he doesn't seem to hear you at all, his weird smile not disappearing. You roll your eyes and move away from him.

The next thing Hyunjin knows, water is splashed onto his face and he wakes up from his drunk-like state. "W-what the-" He wipes the water away from his face, then looks up to see you looking at him with a hand on your hip, your uniform drenched.

"You must be okay now then. If there's nothing else, then I'll be leaving." You then walk away, grumbling about your wet clothes and how you don't have any extra clothes while Hyunjin watches you leave before examining himself, noticing just how drenched his clothes are.

"Ugh!" he then looks up again when he senses the presence of two people approaching him, and he sees Minho and Juyeon looking down at him, Juyeon's brow raised and Minho's brows furrowed. "So... who won?"

Minho rolls his eyes, then he moves his head gesturing towards the girl beside him. "Juyeon did."

A cocky smile forms on Juyeon's face as she turns to Minho. "That should teach you not to challenge me."

"I was distracted," he retorts as an annoyed look forms on his face, but Juyeon turns away from him just as she hits his chest with the back of her hand.

"Good game. Let's have another one soon," she says before walking away, grabbing a towel from one of the many male students holding a towel out to her. "Thanks," she tells the one she grabbed a towel from with a sweet tone, sending him swooning while the others just watch with their jaws dropped or a look of jealousy on their faces.

Minho and Hyunjin watch her go, Minho with a bitter look on his face while Hyunjin with a disapproving look on his before the older turns to him.

"So, what happened? How'd you even fall into the water anyway?" Minho asks Hyunjin who just looks at him for a second before looking away, scratching his wet hair.

"I don't even know. That girl that saved me? I was going to save her, and I ended up being the one who almost drowned."

Minho suddenly bursts out laughing and Hyunjin looks up at him with an annoyed look.

"Yah! That's not something to laugh about!"

"Yeah, right. What even made you think it was a good idea to jump into the water when you can't swim?" Minho says in between his laughter. "She even ended up giving you CPR because you passed out!"

Hyunjin immediately stands, surprising the older who jerks and looks at him with a surprised expression while his hand remains over his mouth. "I'm leaving."

An amused expression forms on Minho's face. "Are you actually being annoyed by what I said?"

"Aish, you guys always say things that annoy me!" Hyunjin suddenly bursts out, his small irritated voice surfacing, before walking away, Minho watching him go with a surprised expression.

"Did I say something? Wow, that kid is really unpredictable."

Eventually, lunch break is nearing its end, and in another part of the school, Yang Jeongin is skipping towards Kim Seungmin, both of Class 2-2, hoping to copy his homework before classes start.

"Seungmin-hyung! Seungmin-hyung! Let me copy your science homework, please..." he asks him in a cute way.

Seungmin turns to him, but before he could respond, their other Grade 2 friends interrupt him.

"That's not happening, Jeongin-ah," Felix says, placing his arms aroumd the youngest. "You know Seungmin isn't always that nice."

"Felix is right," Jisung continues, placing his arm around Jeongin from the other side. "Seungmin's most likely just going to tell you off for not doing your homework, anyway."
