Ch. 29: The Undeniable Truth

Yup. You're screwed. You're definitely sure of it now.

This one, however, isn't like those times it came out that "you're Hyunjin's girlfriend" or that you "cheated on him with his friends". But as those thoughts came to you, you realized something.

Exactly. You're Hyunjin's girlfriend. You're someone's girlfriend. Why should you even be feeling hurt over someone else?

But, now that you think about it, it's not a serious relationship. And you still feel hurt. Hurt and embarrassed over what happened between you and Jisung earlier. And you really feel like screaming and going mad and ripping all your hair out as you sit at your desk, your face blank yet looking depressed as you just look ahead of you.

Around you, your friends are either seated or standing, and when you suddenly let out a frustrated shout while slamming your fist onto your desk, they all flinch in surprise before looking at you with wide eyes.

"What? What's wrong?" Yunho asks, looking panicked.

Meanwhile, Youngmin doesn't even seem bothered at all after flinching. Instead, he just looks at you with a curious expression. "So... Are you finally gonna tell us what happened?"

"Aish, I'm gonna kill that idiot!" you suddenly say before standing up and your friends look at you with surprised expressions before Denise and Youngmin both pull you back down onto your seat.

"Yah, yah, yah! Where do you think you're going?" Denise asks you with her expression scolding you. "And who the heck are you planning to kill this time?!"

You just turn to her with a very irritated expression which soon turns into a whiny one as you drop back down onto your seat and grab your hair with arms propped on your desk. With that, you also start whining. And by whining, I mean REALLY WHINING.

You were definitely whining loudly, and it made several of your classmates who are in the room turn to you, most of which wore weird looks on their faces while the rest showed surprise.

"Yah, Y/N. Keep it down. You're being loud," Denise tells you, her scolding tone still slightly present. You also did as you were told, anyway, and you just fold your arms on your desk then drop your head onto them. And eventually, you admitted the truth.

"Guys... you're right," you say, your voice muffled but still understandable for the three people surrounding you. "I did do this for Jisung."

At this point, they're not even surprised. Denise even wore a bored expression on her face before she looks at you with her brows furrowed in concern. "And? Why are you whining? Is it because you finally started liking someone for the first time?"

"No!" you abruptly reply as you quickly raise your head and look at Denise with your brows furrowed. Granted, she jumped, and so did your other two friends. Well, you really can't blame them. For the past ten minutes, all you've ever done is be moody in a way they've never seen you do so. "It's just..." you explain as you look away, then you grab your hair again. "Aish, I'm such an idiot!" you finally say out of frustration as you remember that embarrassing moment again.

Why did you hope for something good to happen? Even his name in your contacts says so...

"Park Juyeon's #1 fanboy."

That's him. That's exactly what he is. And you let out a frustrated grunt as you hit your forehead directly unto your desk.

The whole class of Class 2-3 is fairly quiet but not so ruly just as usual as the teacher is discussing. Whether the teacher is unaware or he just doesn't care, it's not clear, but it's not like the students would care anyway.
