Ch. 21: Who Likes Who?

"Y/N!" Denise shouts as soon as she sees you, and all the others in the joint group turn to you just as you and Changbin finally reach them, stopping and bending down to catch your breaths while unconsciously still holding each others' hands... until someone points it out.

"Ooh! What's that?" Felix asks as he tilts his head while gesturing to both your hands, and you and Changbin both feel your eyes widen as you finally notice your hands, and in the next second, you quickly let go of each other before acting like nothing happened.

The next thing you know, you're separated from Changbin just to be nagged at by Denise and Youngmin.

"Yah, where were you?!" Denise asks you with a hit on your shoulder.

You hadn't even spoken a single syllable and Youngmin also joins in. "Don't you know how worried we were?! How can you just run off like that from us?! It's a good thing you actually had Changbin with you!"

The two just continue nagging at you, and you wear a tired look on your face as you just endure, planning to speak when they finally stop...

But, of course, let's not forget Yunho exists.

"He likes you, doesn't he?" Yunho suddenly asks out of nowhere and Denise and Youngmin stop talking as the three of you turn to the oldest in your group.

"Huh? What?" you ask as your brows furrow in confusion.

Then at that moment, Denise and Youngmin both understand what their friend is talking about as their eyes widen, turning to Yunho, then to Y/N, then to Changbin who is still being teased by Felix, then back to Y/N, their eyes wide the whole time. "WHAAAAAT?!"

Eventually, you decide to just butt in before it gets any crazier. "Yunho, what are you talking about? I mean, I know you're good at understanding people, but Changbin and I are just friends. He's only awkward because we're still just in the beginner phase," you pause, then you look towards your oldest friend with furrowed brows as you gesture to him. "You were like that, too, weren't you?"

A frown almost immediately forms on Yunho's face as you remind him of the old days, then he speaks up, not diverting at all from the topic at hand. "Yeah, but Changbin's different. He has no shame. Ow!" He shouts as soon as you hit him in the back of the head, then he looks at you with a pained expression as you give him an annoyed one in return.

"I told you! We're just starting to be friends that's why he's awkward around me," you tell him with a slightly threatening tone, and Yunho gives you a slight pout in return as he continues rubbing his head.

"Mm-hmm. Sure..." Denise then inserts as she looks at you with her arms folded, and you turn your gaze towards her. "So are you gonna be abandoning him soon, too, like how you've been abandoning us lately?"

At that, you frown at Denise who just looks at you with wide daring eyes. "Aish! Seriously, I wasn't abandoning you guys, okay?"

"Then hang out with us more!" Denise retorts and you roll your eyes at her in response.

"Sheesh! Seriously, what is it with yoy and me having to hang out with you guys?"

"Are we friends or are we not?"

You and Denise just continue arguing while Yunho just looks towards Changbin with furrowed brows. "But I'm sure about it, though," he mumbles to himself. "He has all the signs. He obviously likes Y/N."

At the same time, he suddenly catches Changbin glancing towards you before quickly looking away, just as Youngmin suddenly claps his hands to get everyone's attention.

"Alright! Since we all don't really have any plans for today, I have a proposal!" Youngmin announces as soon as all other seven kids turn to him after he had clapped. "How about karaoke?"
