"Auntie...? Are you... crying?"

Your eyes widen, and you quickly wipe at your eyes with the sleeve of your sweater and blink away the remaining tears before turning to the boy approaching you at the kitchen counter. Wooseok just looks at you cluelessly. He was just 4 years old at the time. "Huh? What? Oh, dearie, no!" you say as you hide the fact that you actually did cry. "No. Why? Were you worried?" you ask as you approach the child and scoop him up in your arms.

He doesn't seem convinced as he looks at you, though. And yes, he is worried. "Auntie, are you hurt? Who hurt you? Is it because of someone?"

You're eyes widen in surprise before you look away, smiling ironically as you reply. "Well... to put it simply, yes. It is because of someone... But it isn't his fault, I-" You immediately stop, however, when you realize that you've just started opening up to a child. Not to mention your 4-year-old nephew. "Never mind that, okay, honey?" you tell him as you turn back to him with a smile. "Wanna help me make pancakes so we can eat before your Dad arrives?"

Wooseok smiles back at you and nods. You eventually set him down, and you turn back to the counter after setting a stool for him to stand on while you two work together. You would have never thought that the child would remember what you had said...

Especially now that he's met Jisung. And with the young man's first impression on the child, of course, it wouldn't come off as a good one for Wooseok.

He really doesn't trust men who try and flirt with you, and he always tries to shake them off instantly when he's around (even though you can handle it yourself), and so what more if he sees someone staring at you?

Well, what can you say? The kid cares about you. A lot.

"Wooseok-ah, stay here with your uncle Jisung for a while, okay? I'll just go talk with the boss for a moment," you tell the child, squatting down to his level as soon as the three of you have reached the door leading to Chan's office.

As usual, Wooseok responds with a nod and a smile, and you stand up, walking away and entering the office without even so much as a glance at the still-flustered and still-confused Jisung.

He had been watching you the whole time up until you three left the café until you entered the room. As soon as you did the latter, though, he finally looks away from where you had been only to jump in surprise once again when he turns to Wooseok, glaring up at him with his arms folded. "H-hey... D-do you have a problem with me or something?" Jisung asks smiling nervously at the child.

"You like her, don't you?" Wooseok suddenly asks, and Jisung blinks before he suddenly feels his cheeks heating up.

Quickly, he looks away, folding his arms. "N-no! Of course, not!"

"Your blushing face seems to disagree."

An exasperated sigh escapes Jisung in response as he drops his arms. He then looks towards the child only to suddenly straighten himself when the boy points at him. "W-what?"

"Mister. You better not try to pull anything on my Mom. If you do, I'll make you regret your whole existence!"

Jisung can only keep staring at the child before him in shock. How can a boy this young be so... commanding? But then again, if Wooseok really is your son...

"Wooseok-ah! I'm back~"

Suddenly, Wooseok's demeanor changes upon the sound of your voice, and his face lights up before he turns to you and skips to your side.

Jisung is surprised by the child's sudden change in attitude, but he just sighs it away before turning back to you. "So? What did he say?"

You turn to Jisung, and you give him a small smile before turning back to Wooseok. "Chan said he would like to watch over Wooseok for the meantime so we can focus on our work. Is that okay for you, Seok-ie?"
