"Aren't you sad?"

Jisung smiles softly before shaking his head.

"Why not?" you ask, your usual difficult demeanor now completely melted away.

"Because," he pauses. "I like you."

That.

Definitely.

Felt.

Completely off?

You don't know why, but for some reason, what Jisung had just told you felt... Well, the feeling you got is definitely one you didn't expect: You felt like you shouldn't even be feeling happy about his confession.

Why? Because...

"Jisung... Don't you feel like maybe you're rushing things a bit too much?" you ask with a blank face.

At your words, Jisung's brows furrow and he looks at you in confusion. "What do you mean?"

You wonder if he really doesn't get it or you're just being too vague. "I mean, you just confessed your feelings to Juyeon a while ago. And now you're doing it to me?" Your brows furrow as well, and you give Jisung an are-you-serious look. "So, what? Am I just supposed to be your rebound or something? If Juyeon rejects you, you're just gonna turn to me instead?"

The boy's eyes widen as he hears you, and he suddenly finds himself dumbfounded by your words. "W-what are you talking about? Y/N, I meant-"

"So you just realized that what I did with my look today is because of you, huh?" you suddenly say, barely minding your words. "Alright, fine. I'm gonna admit it. I did this because of you. I did this because last night, I had a stupid dream where you kissed me and it drove me crazy! I'm going crazy because of you, Jisung!" Out of frustration, you grab your hair and you look at Jisung with a begging look in your eyes. You had said it. You had said it all. And now you're regretting it once you realize what had just left your mouth. "Gosh, I must really be going crazy, huh?"

But then, Jisung's reaction makes you rethink your thoughts. He looks... confused?

"A- A 'dream'?" he asks and you look at him, your hands still grabbing your hair but barely now as you start to realize what's about to come.

"Please..." You beg. "Please, tell me it wasn't just a dream."

"Y/N, that wasn't a dream," Jisung says, and you let go of your hair and drop your hands, now looking at him with a dumbfounded expression.

"I-it wasn't?" you ask, now confused. However, at the same time, you can feel your heart accelerating. This must be the reaction you were expecting from his confession to you. "T-then why did you kiss me that time then?"

"Don't you remember?" he asks, his expression looking innocent as he looks at you. "I told you. I wanted to know if it was you that I liked."

You freeze, remembering once again what had happened and what he had told you afterwards. Even back then, he had already told you that he likes you. "You said... you said you did," you say as you look up at him with a rather threatening look. "So why did you act like nothing happened the next day?"

Jisung lowers his head as he sighs. "I know. I'm an idiot, okay?" He stays silent for several seconds, then he raises his head slightly so he could meet your still-offended gaze. "I'm sorry, but if you could just give me a chance-"

"Last time," you cut him off, your expression now firm and cold as you look at the boy before you. "Last time, you said I had to be careful... Are you forgetting it, too? I'm in a relationship right now."
