Ch. 13: First Kiss

Your and Jisung's eyes widen when you both realize what's about to happen, and before Jisung could even stop himself from getting closer, he already feels something soft on his lips. And he's sure it isn't your cheek.

He freezes, and he suddenly finds himself looking into your eyes as his heart starts pounding. This was  definitely NOT meant to happen.

He had only meant to kiss you on the cheek, hoping that that would help him get rid of the feelings he has whenever he's around you. If he did just one simple thing to make his feelings content, he thought they would go away. But what's happening now isn't just a simple thing. Jisung had kissed you on the lips, and now his heart is pounding crazily all over again.

Meanwhile, you're completely shocked by the gesture. This is your first kiss. You had never expected to get it in high school, but neither did you expect to get it from a Park Juyeon admirer! Never!

Not only that, if he is, indeed, a Park Juyeon admirer, why is he here kissing you?

You look up at him, the rest of your body frozen in shock, only to meet his eyes, sparkling as they look at you. Is Han Jisung... really a Park Juyeon admirer?

Then, Jisung quickly pulls away from you when he realizes what he just did, placing his hand over his mouth. "I am so sorry! I didn't mean to do that! It was just supposed to be a kiss on the cheek but-"

"Were you just using Park Juyeon as an excuse to try and get close to me?" you suddenly ask him, cutting him off as Jisung looks at you with wide eyes.

"W-what? No, of course, not!" he denies, but he can't seem to feel the sincerity in his own words.

Meanwhile, you just look at him with an annoyed expression. "Then why the heck did you kiss me?" you ask him quite angrily.

"Listen. It was just supposed to be a kiss on the cheek-"

"And that's supposed to be different?"

Jisung stops in his words, then he looks at you wuth a surprised expression as you let out an angry shout before you look away from him and run into the rain with your backpack over your head. "H-hey- Y/N, wait! Let me explain! Y/N!" he calls out, but you don't listen to him at all.

Jisung tries to run after you, but his feet seem to be glued to the floor. In the end, he just watches you as the rain continues pouring, not giving any sign that it might stop soon...

On another hand, Hyunjin is waiting at a nearby bus stop, waiting for his bus to come while he holds his dripping umbrella beside him, when he suddenly notices a familiar figure running in the rain just across the street with her backpack over her head. His eyes widen in surprise when he recognizes you. "Y/N?"

Not wasting any more time, he quickly crosses the street and takes off in the direction you had gone, soon finding you still running.

Hyunjin speeds up to catch up with you, and when he had finally reached you while you still haven't noticed him, he grabs your arm, making you stop and turn to him just as he opens the umbrella he has over the both of you and you drop your bag to your side.

"H-Hyunjin?" you ask, your voice shivering from the cold.

Hyunjin notices your shaking voice, and an annoyed hiss escapes him as he takes off his uniform jacket and places it over your shoulders only for you to stubbornly push it away.
