A/N: This is a long one folks! Thank you for the ride. This story is almost to a close.
A blinding light flashed in the sky and I knew what was coming. Solomon had opened the portal for the angels to come through. I was covered in gore and I had a few demons on my tail as I was trying to reach the light. Rosaline headed the charge along with her brother Raoul. It was like a scene out of a movie. They flooded the battlefield in seconds with their glittering armor and immediately joined in the fight. I wish I could have seen the king's face when the portal opened. The battle cry even made my hair stand on end and I was on their side. Angel warriors were fierce and showed no fear.
The brothers and I all rallied together near the entrance to stop demon forces from advancing. "Barbatos! Glad you could join us!" Lucifer scoffed as he cut down one of the king's minions. He looked like he had barely been fighting, but that was just the way he carried himself. Most of the angels had made their way out onto the field so the brothers started to break off to join the fight. I was left surrounded by a few smaller demons that would normally be easy to cut down, if not for the volume of them when suddenly I felt a presence. I was no longer fight by myself. "Elaina!!! What are you doing here!? You're injured!!" I croaked over the sound of our blades hitting scales. "I'm fine Barbatos! I came to defend my home and my family. My sisters healed me. I'm all better, except I can't fly." - "Good, Neither can I!" I stifled a laugh. At least we could fight on even grounds.
I wanted to be mad, I wanted to get her to safety but I saw a determination in her eyes that I had never seen before. She had grown so much over the last few years. She was strong, fierce, determined.DIAVOLO'S POV
After slaying minion after minion, I started to feel sick. They used to be under my rule. They used to be on my side, or so I thought. I never imagined I would have to kill them. I just needed to get to my father. I needed this to end. This war, and this spell on the woman I loved.
The closer I got to my father, the more dense the opposing forces were. They kept coming at me without end. The next wave was especially tough. It seemed that I would be reaching him soon. Before I could raise my sword, the enemy in front of me fell to the floor. "Lucifer!" He was by my side as always. We cut down our enemies one by one and soon I could see my father. Aurelia was cowering off to the side. Even in this situation, she was scared. I saw Rosaline gracefully flying toward her and Caroleen was walking up from behind. I got close enough to my father to distract him. I knew what they were about to do.
AURELIA'S POV:
I was so scared and couldn't comprehend what was going on. Zeb had taken me to a palace and promised me the world. He told me I would be a queen because he was going to be the king. My mind was so hazy and I thought I had met the king before, somewhere? I could only remember my time with Zeb and how much I loved him, yet somehow, here we were in the middle of a battle. How did this happen?
I was alone while Zeb fought against a horde of angels and demons, some of which looked rather familiar to me. As I crouched by a rock, I saw the most gorgeous being I had ever laid my eyes on, and at that moment, I didn't feel afraid. She was glowing bright with her white feathery wings and shining armor. She had long platinum hair and memorizing blue eyes with specks of gold. They were kind and wise. She reached out to me and I reached out to her in turn. "Hello, Aurelia. Do not be afraid. My name is Rosaline. I am a friend." She cooed. I saw a vision of her in my mind, a flashback maybe? Had we met before? "I am here to help you." She added.
I felt another pair of hands grab my shoulders. I turned and almost screamed out in fear but the other woman covered my mouth. "Shh, it's alright. My name is Caroleen. I am here to make things clear to you again." Clear? What did she mean by that? Although, my memory had been fuzzy, and I kept seeing glimpses of another life. Could she really fix me and help me see the truth? All I could remember was the band of angels that kept us hidden from the battle. They kept anyone that wasn't us out of the circle. One angel had tanned skin and dark hair, he also looked familiar to me. The others were fearsomely beautiful, all tall and exactly what you would expect an angel to be.
