Barbatos was supposed to be on his way to a meeting and Elaina was cleaning the kitchen with Wendy (now 11 months old). Who was sitting on the ground next to her banging on some cookware.

"Hey Elaina, have you seen my ti- OH MY GOODNESSS!! Lainey, why are my good pots on the ground!?!?" *He cried.  Elaina snapped her head around at the sudden outburst.*

Elaina: Oh, Wendy likes them *she deadpanned*

Wendy looks up at her dad and proceeds to hit the pots wildly with a wooden sauce spoon.

Barbatos: .......... !!!!!! Elaina this is unacceptable!

Elaina: Oh good grief Barbatos, she's a baby. She needs stimulation and those are shiny and noisy. Let her go!

*Baby Babbling*

Barbatos: *looks down at his daughter* B-B-but these are my GOOD POTS!! She has toys!!! Plenty of toys!

Elaina:  *turns to face him, one hand on her hip, and duster in the other hand* I don't know what to tell you, Batey! I gave her her toys but she reached for them. *thinks if there is a way to have him agree to keep the pots* ... Iiif you let her play with them, I'll buy you newer pots. Nicer ones.

Barbatos pondered the idea. They were nice ... But he had an opportunity here. Elaina had the money. She could get him the best of the best. His eyes got bright as he settled on the idea

Barbatos: I want the newest Cuisinart MCP-12N Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set. It's in the human realm. You would think that Devildom would have better cookware, but it doesn't even come close. *He was babbling enthusiastically, just like Wendy on the floor babbling to herself*

Elaina: *laughs* Okay, okay deal! Just let her play with the pots. It makes her happy.  Maybe play with her? It's going to take me a little while to clean.

Barbatos sat down on the floor across from Wendy. She was just banging away, laughing, not a care in the world.

Barbatos: I hope you like your new toys. They are very expensive.

Elaina: Barbatos, shut up.

Barbatos looked at all of his stuff on the ground. He was mad, but seeing how much fun his baby was having and the promise of nicer cookware made him feel better. He was not sure what to do but then he got an idea. Diavolo told him he needed to do more silly things and since then he found himself stepping way out of his comfort zone, making Wendy laugh a lot more. He reached for the nearby colander and placed it on his head like a helmet.

Elaina: Oohohoooh that looks great on you! *She laughed*

Barbatos: Why thank you!

He chuckled. Wendy just looked at him in awe and smiled. She started to wiggle and squeal.

Elaina: I think she likes it too! Hey Wendy darling, give me that spoon?

She asked sweetly. She took the spoon from her daughter and smirked at Barbatos.

Barbatos: No! Don't you even think about it!" *He laughed nervously.* "Lainey!!! Nooooo!" *He stood and back up slowly*

Elaina: Come here, dad! *She laughed. The baby just watching them, confused.*

Barbatos: No!! *He laughed as she chased him around the kitchen.*

Elaina: Awe come on, Batey! I wanna hear what noise it'll make while it's on your head!

They ran around the kitchen island a few times before running out of steam. They laughed as they slid back into the ground with Wendy. Elaina handed Wendy back the spoon and she took it eagerly. She looked at her mom and then at her dad. She scooted toward Barbatos and held the spoon up toward the colander still placed on his head. Barbatos laughed and bent down a little to let her have access as she banged the cookware on his head.

Elaina: Hey, why does she get to hit you?

Barbatos: Because she won't bash my brains in! *He snickered.* Although that was a lot harder than I expected! *He grimaced as he took the colander off and rubbed his temple*
