"WOOOHOOO! BEACH DAY!!!!!" Elaina exclaimed as she burst out of Barbatos's bathroom in a quite "revealing" swimsuit, in Barbatos's opinion anyway. "Elaina! W-w-what ARE you wearing!?" Barbatos stuttered, his cheeks turning a deep red. "Oh, Batey shush! I look goood, don't I?" She giggled, spinning around in a circle. "Uhmmm... Y-y-yess... B-but we aren't the only people going to the beach. I don't want anyone staring at you." He huffed. She just continued to laugh as she covered herself up with a short sundress. 'He is adorable when he gets protective.' She thought to herself. "It's okay Batey, you'll stay by my side right?" She kissed his nose making the rosiness return to his face. "Of course!" He nodded.

After Barbatos packed their day bag, they walked hand and hand down to the foyer of the palace. Diavolo and Aurelia, the second-year human exchange student, were already waiting for the couple. "WOOOHOOO!! BEACH DAY!!!" Diavolo shouted making the three others laugh. "You and Elaina seem to be on the same wavelength" Barbatos chimed. "Well, I'm glad they're excited. I am too. I've missed the sun!" Aurelia explained. "ME TOO!  This will be the first time since I got here that it will be daytime out!" Elaina sighed happily. "Let's go!" Diavolo sang.

------

The beach was beautiful! It may be artificial but everything was so real. All Elaina could say was "WOW!" Barbatos beamed with joy as he watched Elaina run around the beach with their friends. He set up the blanket and chairs in the sand, nearby a palm tree. He retrieved the cooler and set everything up for them. "Hey, Barbatos!!! Come join us!!!" Diavolo hollered from the water. Elaina waved in his direction as she was flapping through the water happily on a swan floaty. "I will be there in a moment!" He replied.

There was so much going on at the beach. Diavolo had invited RAD students and faculty to his private beach to celebrate the school year's halfway mark. There were booths set up for games and food. It was a real treat. Diavolo and Aurelia disappeared for some "alone time" so Barbatos finally joined Elaina in the water so she wouldn't be alone, pushing her around on the floaty, just enjoying each other's company. "I want an orca," Elaina stated out of the blue. "A what?" Barbatos chuckled. "One of those!! Elaina pointed at a booth on the shore with plushies hanging up for prizes. "Win me one?" She asked flirtatiously. "Yes! ...Yes! I will win you one!" Barbatos replied with a new determination to impress his love.

They emerged out of the water and walked toward the beach. That's when Barbatos noticed all the demon boys staring at Elaina's exposed swimsuit body. He glared at them from over his shoulder, making them cower in fear. "Oh Batey, stop it. You're scaring them." Elaina snickered. "Good!" Barbatos simply said guiding her toward the game booth. He shed his Hawaiian decorated shirt and slung it over Elaina to shield her body from prying eyes. "Great Batey... Now all of the girls are going to be looking at you!" She huffed. "Oooh, jealous are we?" He smirked. "Well, now you know how I feel."

At the high striker booth, Barbatos took the hammer, in his hands. He had to hit the bottom with a hammer and the weight had to make itself to the top of the tower. It was a game of strength. A young, fit demon walked passed at the moment, unwisely catcalling Elaina. "Why don't you let a real demon win you a prize?" He gloated, flexing his muscles. He didn't realize (or care) that Barbatos was one of the most powerful demons in all of Devildom. "I'm sorry, I have a real demon about to win me a prize. So buzz off!" Elaina sassed. "Hey, don't talk to me like that!" The demon spit, grabbing Elaina roughly by the wrist. She winced in pain but not a second later the demon went flying across the beach. Elaina looked up to see Barbatos towering above her, his eyes glowing with anger. "I will show you a REAL demon!" Barbatos yelled. He was about to charge at the demon but was stopped by Diavolo. "Don't add fuel to the fire B. He's given up. He learned from his mistake. Let him go."

Barbatos snapped back into reality. He straightened himself back up and apologized. "I am sorry Lainey. It is just in my nature to protect what is mine." He stated. Elaina grinned from ear to ear. "What?" Barbatos asked. "You called me Lainey!" She gushed. "O-oh... I am sorry..." He blushed. "No! Don't be sorry. I like it!" She giggled, blushing a bit herself. "Yes, yes such a cute moment. NOW win her the big prize, B!" Diavolo interjected. "Yes my Lord!"

Barbatos took the hammer again and steadied himself to strike the lever. He was still fuming about the demon that touched his beloved. "You can do it, Batey!" -"We believe in you Barbatos!" - "Show them how it's done!" Elaina, Aurelia, and Diavolo cheered. 'Show them how it's done.' Diavolo's words echoed in Barbatos's head. He would show them how it's done. He lifted the hammer and struck the lever sending the weight up the pole. The bell rang... but only for a brief second before the weight flew completely off on the high striker and was sent flying up into the air. He was so angry he used too much force and broke the game. "Uh-oh!"

Diavolo was rolling on the ground laughing his guts out. While Elaina was jumping up and down clapping and laughing as the man at the booth frantically handed her a giant orca plush. Barbatos felt embarrassed yet strangely satisfied as he noticed everyone staring with open mouths and cheering. That is everyone except the man who ran the booth. Diavolo was more than willing to pay for the damages done and gave Barbatos a proper high five, congratulating him. "I am so sorry!" He groaned. "Nonsense B, that was awesome!" Diavolo exuded. "It was! I'm so happy! Look how cute!!!!!" Elaina shrilled holding the giant plush up for Barbatos to see. It was so big most of her body was hidden behind it. "My Lord, have you seen Lainey? I thought I heard her but all I see is a big orca!" He teased. Diavolo laughed putting his arm around Barbatos. "I like seeing you act so jolly and loose! Elaina really brings out the best in you!"

------

As the day went on Elaina and Diavolo, accompanied by Aurelia, dragged Barbatos around the beach. They ate lunch, played more games (careful not to break anymore), and tried different street food from the vendors. It was early evening when the brothers finally joined them. They had been running around doing their own thing all day, wanting to give the 2 couples time to hang out. "Hey! Wanna play a game of volleyball with us?" Mammon yelled from the court. "We need 3 more players!!" Beel added. "We need a ref too! Mammon keeps trying to cheat!" Asmo fumed. "Hey! I ain't cheatin'!" Mammon denied. Diavolo and Aurelia ran to Lucifer's side while Elaina ran to Asmo's side and Barbatos stood on the sidelines ready to referee. They played 5 on 5, not exactly traditional but nothing was traditional about the teams anyway. Team 1: Lucifer, Mammon, Levi, Diavolo, and Aurelia. Team 2: Asmo, Satan, Beel, Belphie, and Elaina. It was a rousing game, full of heartbreak and agony...for the losing team. Lucifer, Levi, and Mammon sure we're sore losers!

By the time the game was over, it was dark. Everyone had gone home except the brothers, Diavolo and Aurelia, and Elaina and Barbatos. Aurelia suggested they have a bonfire and of course, Diavolo was on board. Everyone settled on their blanket to relax and enjoy the night. Elaina clutched her Orca plush as she lay in Barbatos's arms. "This was the perfect day! I had a lot of fun." She whispered tiredly. "I did as well. Thank you for everything, my love." He smiled down at the sleepy angel. She looked so peaceful, so perfect. He couldn't believe his luck. "Batey..." She muttered. "Yes, love?" He replied. "I want to go to sleep now." She yawned. "Okay. Let's get you home." He laughed as he scooped her up in his arms, plush and all, and whisked her back to the palace for a much-needed rest.
