"Elaina!!" Barbatos called out and waved to the angel as she walked down the hallway at RAD. She stopped and turned to wait for him to catch up. It had been about a week since Michael had left and things started to get serious between the two soul mates. "Are you ready for your first day of your 'cooking 101' class?" Barbatos asked eagerly. "Eh, not really," Elaina stated. "What? Why not?" He asked baffled. "Oh, it's the teacher. He's stuffy, kinda strict, and very meticulous. I don't think a troublemaker such as myself can handle such a man." She jested as she giggle and nudged Barbatos's shoulder. "Ooooh, I see how it is!" Barbatos smirked. "Wait..... You think I am stuffy?" He gasped. "Aweee" Elaina laughed as she caressed his face. "Just a little." She kissed his nose and skipped off to her class with Barbatos following closely behind, still smirking.

When Elaina walked into the classroom she instantly noticed that the class was full of beautiful demonesses, and Luke, of course. Elaina never realized she was the jealous type until she saw the scene before her. As she seated herself next to Luke, Barbatos walked into the room and she could hear the infatuated sighs coming from the demonesses. Her face flushed red with jealousy. She didn't realize Barbatos was such a lady's man. He seemed a bit embarrassed but brushed it off and carried on with his usual polite manners.

"Good afternoon class, I am your instructor for this semester, Mr. Barbatos. I expect all of you to be on your best behavior and let's have some fun." He smiled warmly. Luke fidgeted in his seat next to Elaina. "I'm so excited!" He whispered. Elaina let out a small chuckle. "Why? You bake with Barbatos all the time, what's so different about doing it here?" She whispered back. "Now I get to cook and bake at school too!" He cheered as Elaina groaned. "Why aren't you more excited? You never cook with us at the palace! It will be so much fun!" Luke blurted a little too loudly making Barbatos spin toward them. "Luke! Are you talking during my class? I expect better from you! Elaina... Do not distract other students. Pay attention you two!" He ordered making both Elaina and Luke lower their heads. "I'm sorry sir, I'm just excited." Luke apologized. Barbatos smiled and turned back to his board and began to write.

"I don't know how to cook" Elaina suddenly admitted, talking softly again. "Shhhh be quiet!" Luke cautioned, not wanting to get in trouble again until he realized what she said. "Wait, what? You can't cook?" He asked. Elaina just frowned and shook her head. "I am a terrible cook and I'm really worried that I'll embarrass myself in front of Barbatos and everyone." She admitted. "Well then maybe you should pay attention in class and stop talking!" Barbatos whispered from behind the two students. Elaina and Luke both jumped a little, not realizing that Barbatos had left the board and was making rounds to each table. "There are instructions on the board and ingredients in front of you. Get started!" He scolded. "Yes sir!" They both chimed in unison.

After class Elaina sulked out of the room without a word. She felt bad for disrupting Barbatos's class but also she was upset for being yelled at by him. She knew she deserved it but she thought he might be a little nicer. She also wished she wasn't forced to take this class. She didn't want Barbatos to think she was incompetent or anything. He was a master chef and it made her worry, especially since he was a perfectionist. Luke managed to save her in class today with the group baking but it wouldn't always be that way.

She sat in the courtyard annoyed at herself and the events of the day when she was joined by two succubi twins. "Oh look at what we have here, the little princess." The left sister, Rissya gibed. "Ah yes, Elaina, is it? Precious baby cousin of the demon brothers. A perfect little angel." The right sister, Risaris snickered. Elaina looked up from her textbook, more annoyed at the intrusion of her studying. "What do you want?" She mumbled. The sisters had given her grief before and she was starting to get sick of it. "Awe frustrated, are we?" "Feeling embarrassed about messing up in front of the teacher today? Almost burning the class to the ground..." They chimed. They were enjoying this too much, but yes, Elaina had already screwed up in class. She accidentally set the oven to the wrong temperature making the first batch of cookies burn. Luke was able to help with the second batch, which turned out amazing, but of course, it was embarrassing. "It wasn't that bad, plus Mr. Barbatos didn't seem too upset..." Elaina muttered. "Oh, it was bad. The whole place smelled like burnt food!" "And he was upset. You're new around here so I dont expect you to know much, but Barbatos is a perfectionist. He wants everything perfect, which is why we are going to be his favorite students." "We are perfect in every way! And he'll love anything we make." They winked in unison and walked off. Elaina just rolled her eyes.

Barbatos and the other men in Elaina's life all decided it best not to expose their relationship for the time being. This way Elaina could focus on her studies at school more efficiently, without harassment. They agreed that she would get no special treatment from Diavolo or Barbatos during her classes with them as well, which was why Barbatos seemed rather cold towards her today. Diavolo's class was easy for her. He was teaching gym class and she was a great athlete but cooking... Forget it. It was going to be a long semester.
