Elaina sat on the floor in her bathroom at the House of Lamentation. She hadn't been feeling very well and this morning was the worst of it. Aurelia came in to help her out, bringing her some water.

"Hey, Elaina... I don't know how it works with angels, but didn't you and Barbatos start hooking up a few weeks ago?" Elaina arched an eyebrow at the human. "Yeeaah... Why?" She asked curiously. "Well... you do spend a lot of time at the palace. I can't imagine you just sitting around enjoying each other's company without some sort of intimacy. I mean, you've been getting sick in the morning for a while, you seem more tired than usual, and you run to the bathroom every time you see Beel guzzle down cheeseburgers. Could you be...." She faltered. "What? Could I be what?" Elaina fretted. "Pregnant?" Aurelia questioned.

Elaina's eyes widened. She hadn't even thought about it. There had been so much drama the past few weeks with classes, the twins, trying to keep a secret relationship, finally letting people know about their secret relationship, and planning Barbatos's birthday. It was a lot.

"Aurelia! I need you to do me a favor!" She pleaded. She sent Aurelia on a solo mission to the store to get a pregnancy test. Stressing to keep it a secret, she didn't want her cousins to find out anything, not until she was sure. Aurelia returned a while later, test in hand. Elaina kicked her out of the bathroom until the test was ready. "Aureliaaaa!" Elaina yelled from the bathroom. Aurelia ran in to help her friend. She looked down at the test in Elaina's hands. Positive.

Asmo knocked on Elaina's door. No one had seen her or Aurelia for the whole day. Both girls missed lunch and dinner and the boys were starting to worry. "Laaaainey, Reliaaaaa!! What's going on in there? Open uuuup!" He whined. Aurelia rushed to the door. "Shut up!" She hissed. "Elaina is asleep! She isn't feeling well. Just leave us alone!" She shoved him out of the way and closed the door on his face. "Well then!" He scoffed as he walked away.

"You have to tell them," Aurelia said as she returned to Elaina's side, who spent most of the day curled up in her bed crying. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know how Barbatos would react. He had been texting her throughout the day, wondering if she was alright. He felt a type of sickness through their connection. She assured him she was just feeling under the weather and that everything was okay, but he didn't seem convinced. She did, however, convince him not to come to check on her. It gave her time to clear her head, time to figure out what she was going to do, how she was going to tell Barbatos and everyone else.

This was not part of the plan! She believed Barbatos would tell her as much. It was agreed that she stay for the school year to see if being here with him was what she wanted and now, with a baby on the way, it would seem like she wouldn't have much of a choice. Sure, in this short amount of time she was already sure she wanted to be with Barbatos and Barbatos was sure he wanted to be with her, but what would Michael think about all of this? It was rather irresponsible of them both. She dreaded telling Barbatos, She knew he would think the same thing, but Aurelia was right. She had to tell him.

Elaina got up the next morning, feeling queasy from the morning sickness and lack of food the previous day. Aurelia, who stayed with her friend throughout the night helped her get comfortable while she fetched a light breakfast for the angel. Anything to get her to feel better. Today was going to be rough.

Elaina texted Barbatos. "Can we meet up? I have something I have to tell you. It's important." She sat in bed anxiously for a few minutes, waiting for a reply. About 5 minutes had gone by when she received a phone call. "Elaina, what is it? What's wrong?" Barbatos worried. "I-I need to talk to you, in person. Can we meet in the park in 30 minutes?" - "Of course. I shall meet you in 30 minutes. Be careful and bundle up. It's quite chilly today." He was nervous. Elaina had been acting strangely for the past week and he could tell she was holding something back. He wondered if he did something wrong. What if she wanted to go home? She seemed to be avoiding him for the last two days, not wanting him to visit her while she was ill. It wasn't like her.
