Elaina's POV

Over the past few weeks, things had been grim. Diavolo let Aurelia out for social events and interactions with supervision and curfews, but sadly those rights were taken away when she was attacked once again under Mammon's watch. Mammon was banned from Aurelia's life by Diavolo and it didn't stop there. She was like a prisoner in the palace and she began to resent him. She was able to convince Diavolo to finally let her go to the library with Satan after a while and really, that's when it all started to go down hill.

Aurelia was gone now. She left with her new lover. Yes, a new lover. Diavolo tried to stop her, of course. He tried to fight for her but he was still too cowardly to tell her about his father. While Diavolo went to meeting after meeting that drove a wedge between them, Aurelia would sneak out and go meet Zeb, the demon she met at the library when she went out with Satan that day. He seemed like a nice guy. I had met him once or twice, in fact, I was the only one who got to meet him. She didn't want anyone else to, especially not Diavolo. Something seemed off about Zeb but I didn't think much of it though, after all half of Devildom's inhabitants seemed off to me. I think he may have filled her head with nonsense though. He didn't seem to like Diavolo that much.

I had asked Barbatos about the situation but he was unable to tell me anything due to the block on his mind. He had never seen Zeb himself, but he had heard rumors that he was a decent demon and that he was pretty popular in some circles. He was worried about Aurelia's safety though, like the rest of us. In a way, he thought it could be a good thing that Aurelia left. Whoever was after her only seemed interested because she was with Diavolo. Now that she wasn't she may be safer, but at the same time we didn't know where she was or if she was really safe. Asmo and I got texts from her pretty often though so it made us all feel better.

Diavolo was beside himself. He didn't know what to do. He wasn't able to sleep or eat at all anymore. Barbatos had been taking care of him and it started to take a toll on our family as well. The girls missed him, but he would always come to see us before bed and would tuck the girls in and say goodnight. Tonight we decided to do a movie night. It would be the first one since Aurelia left but the girls were impatient and didn't understand what was going on so Diavolo couldn't say no to them. So we all sat in the theater to watch a movie but I noticed Diavolo's heart wasn't really in it. "Hey Diav, wanna go for a walk?" I asked. He nodded and we left the room. "I can't have movie night, I'm sorry. You guys can use the theater anytime you want but its hard to go there anymore since she left." He explained. "No, I understand. I feel the same way but the girls don't know any different." He smile weakly and leaned against the wall. "How is she? Have you talked to her lately?" Truth be told I had and she was scheduled to call soon. Almost as if by magic, the phone rang. "Oh, uh..." "Go ahead answer it. I want to hear her voice." Diavolo frowned. I put the phone on speaker. I knew he would stay quiet.

"Hey Relia! How are you?" I answered the phone cheerfully. "I'm doing really well! How is everyone?" She sounded happy. Diavolo closed his eyes when he heard her voice. I could tell he was getting teary. "We're all good. Just watching a movie with the girls." "How about Diavolo? How is he?" She was concerned about him. I looked over at him and we met eyes. "He's... Trying." He sighed and shook his head. He was trying to get over things, he just wasn't succeeding. "Oh, I'm glad." Aurelia replied. Diavolo was about to walk away when....

"Love? I'm home!" We heard Zeb in the background. Diavolo stopped dead in his tracks. "Oh. Who are you talking to?" Zeb asked. "Elaina." Aurelia replied. "Oh hello Elaina, I hope you are doing well." I was about to reply but the phone was ripped out of my hands. "H-hey!! What are you doing!?" I squeaked. "Aurelia, where are you!? Tell me now!" Diavolo demanded. Had he lost his mind? What was he doing? "Aurelia, hang up the phone!" Zeb urged. "Hang it up! Now!" I heard shuffling and then the line went dead. "Diavolo, what where you thinking?" I grabbed my phone off of him and waited for an answer, but I didn't expect what happened next.

"BARBATOS!" Diavolo shouted. My husband came running out of the theater in a flash. "Yes, my lord?" He looked at me in confusion and I just shrugged. "It's Aurelia. Zeb is...He.... He's.... Barbatos HE has her!" Everything happened so fast. It was like a bomb went off and I was completely out of the loop, but not for long. Something was about to go down.
