Elaina sat in her little greenhouse garden, reading. Barbatos got permission from Diavolo to build it in the eastern courtyard of the palace. He imported some plants from the Celestial Realm and placed some special lighting inside to make it bright enough for them to survive. He felt like she needed this place to get away from her stresses.

Diavolo: You wanted to see me, Princess?
Elaina: Diavolo... Why are you being so formal?
Diavolo: W-well I thought I might have been in trouble...
Elaina: Why would you be in trouble?
Diavolo: For ditching you and Barbatos last night before dinner.
Elaina: I'm not the one you should be sucking up to. Barbatos planned a very nice dinner for us all.
Diavolo looked down at the ground with a guilty expression on his face.
Elaina: Barbatos isn't mad, Diavolo. He understood why you ditched us and he gets it. That's why I called you here actually. You and Aurelia had fun last night. So... Will you two watch Wendy so we can have ours?
Diavolo: Oh! Yes, of course. It's the least we can do.
Elaina: Thank you. It will be nice to have some real alone time together. It will be the first time since Wendy was born.

Elaina decided that she was going to have a picnic for her and Barbatos in the little greenhouse. She made some sandwiches (which was one of the only things she could make right) and a light, refreshing dragonfruit salad Barbatos taught her to make. She danced around the kitchen getting all of the ingredients together, humming to herself. Not noticing her friend enter the room with the baby.
"Excited for this evening, are we?" Aurelia laughed as she bounced the baby up and down in her arms. "O-Oh! U-um... I... Yes..." Elaina smiled, a little embarrassed. Wendy clapped her hands and reached out for her mom. Elaina took her and fed her a small piece of avocado. "Thank you so much for watching Wendy! I just want to get some alone time with Batey. It's been a while since we've had any and he has to go back to his duties soon." Elaina sighed. "Hey, no problem, hun! Diavolo and I are happy to do it. Diav is so cute when he plays with Wendy. Plus, it lets me imagine what it would be like to start a family with him. Is that lame?" Aurelia asked. "I don't think so.... but others probably would." They laughed.
