:The downfall 4

Charles was feeling ecstatic as he hug his beloved woman, saying yes to his proposal really brought joy to his heart.

"Don't cry you silly!" natatawang sabi ni Georgina sa kaniya ng nagsimula na siyang naluha.

"I was just so happy that you accepted me."

"Eh bakit naman hindi? Parang tanga, I love you so much Darwin how can I say no?" she laughed at him before breaking their hug.

He looked unto her eyes, those glistening eyes really caught his smile and as he look at Georgina, he was admiring his looks too. Charles started to caress her face and smiled at her before kissing her on her delicate lips.

"No matter what we will face Azalei, promise me that I'm willing to do anything for you okay?" he asked her emotionally, he wants to say this everytime to her because he wants to let her know that if anything will happen from the deal of his parents, he will assure her that he's going to do everything he can not to break her heart.

Georgina nodded at him and smiled, lagi niyang nakikita ang lungkot sa mga mata ni Charles and she knows half of the reason of it, he's been through a lot and by that, she will do everything with all her might to make him feel better.

"I also promise you Darwin, I will always be on your side and with this thing on my hand right now, I can assure you to make you feel better for the lifetime."

Seeing his abuela right now at the wide balcony, sitting peacefully and feeling the smooth air made him stop for a while to gaze at her.

Charles smiled at his abuela, he remembered what she have done for him. She fought his side, she took care of him very well despite of his parent's absence and making him smile every day, all of it really made him cherish her a lot.

Ang mga nangyari noon ay hindi niya pa makakalimutan lalo na ang nangyari sa kaniyang abuela na nagbigay sa kaniya nang mabigat na pag-aalala.

Charles then sighed before looking back at his abuela again,

I'm so thankful for you abuela, you may feel weak now but I really prayed for you to be strong as always kasi kung wala ka, hindi ko siguro kayang harapin sina mamá at papá..don't worry abuela I trust you that you will live longer..

Charles began to walk towards her abuela and when Señora Soledad felt alarmed by his steps she faced him and gave him a big bright smile.

"Mi hijo." He called him at agad na niyakap siya nang mahimbing.

"Are you alright abuela? may masakit ba sayo ngayon? Kelangan mo ba nang tubig?" he sounded worried towards her, so his abuela chuckled before cupping his face.

"How many times do I have to tell you mi hijo that I'm fine." He just closed his eyes before smiling at her.

"I'm just worried abuela."

"No need for you to worry, alam kong mabigat ang iniisip mo ngayon, why can't you take a rest for a bit?" she questioned him but Charles shook his head before letting out a sigh.

"I'm fine abuela, I already rested my body." He just stated before his abuela gave her a calm smile.

It's now in the middle of the afternoon, the sun is not that hot for now and the mid-afternoon air is so warm kaya hindi na nagtaka si Charles na nandito ang kaniyang abuela. They're still standing on their place, silence surrounded them for a bit and only the calming sound of the trees swaying nearby is the only thing they can hear until his abuela broke it by letting out a breath.
