Capitulo 36

"Just put it there mama." Utos ni Georgina sa kaniyang ina at agad itong nilagay ang flower vase sa gitna ng kanilang lamesa. It was filled by some wildflowers picked near the seaside. It's a sunny Wednesday morning, she, her mother, and her sister are now preparing a simple breakfast because Charles will come and join them later. Hindi mawala ang kanilang mga ngiti sa labi, they're enjoying the moment kahit sa simpleng paghahanda lamang. While Georgina was arranging the plates decently, a continuous knock on their door alarmed her senses and made her smile raise excitingly.

"Dear! Kindly open the door." Her mother ordered her father who just have finished taking a bath and who's now drying his hair. "Got it." Her father replied and then put on his shirt before opening the door, revealing Charles who's wearing his casual attire. "Buenos dias tito!" magiliw na bati ni Charles sa ama ni Georgina kaya sinabayan rin naman nito. "Good morning hijo!"

After they did a short hug ay agad niya na itong pinapasok. Charles took off his beret cap first and placed it on the coat rack before he received a longing embrace from his woman. "Oh my, you look handsome today...good morning mi senorito." She greeted sweetly so Charles gave her a soft kiss on her forehead. "Good morning too mi senorita, you now smell like a good morning breakfast,aye!" He jokingly said.

"Can I eat you instead?" he whispered on her ear and bit it making Georgina wobble her legs as if she was melted by his action but she let go of his temptation and pinch his side. Buti nalang hindi sila nakita dahil umalis na ang kaniyang ama at ang ina at kapatid ay nagliligpit parin ng lamesa. "Don't you dare act like that in front of my parents you idiot...gusto mo bang magutom?" she threatened him and laughed afterwards kaya napailing na lamang si Charles sa kaniya bago siya hinawakan nito sa kaniyang beywang at lumakad papunta sa lamesa.

"Charles mijo...good morning! Umupo kana, handa na ang mga pagkain!" Georgina's mother was still smiling as she greets Charles kaya napangiti naman ito sa kaniya at hinalikan niya ito sa gilid ng kaniyang ulo. "Buenos dias tita...I really love the aroma of your cooking....it really invited me to come inside immediately!" tumawa naman ito sa sinabi ni Charles. "Ito talagang batang to...oh siya sige umupo kana at kumain na tayo." Natutuwang umupo rin naman si Charles sa upuan at agad na umayos ng upo.

After they sat on their chairs, Sofia took the lead on leading the prayer before meal and then they started eating their breakfast. They had fresh baked breads, fried eggs and chorizo. It was a pleasant breakfast, they all shared some good topics to talk to and Georgina's family was very happy to see Charles being this lively again; they all slowly forget the dark past they have entered, all those pain and suffering vanished from time to time because it's now over.

"We really miss you here kuya Charles, parang pamilya kana kasi namin dito mula pa noon." Sabi ni Sofia habang may maliit na ngiti sa kaniyang mapupulang mga labi. "Hindi lang parang pamilya anak...pamilya na talaga siya natin." Sabi naman ng ina nito.

"Kailan kaya ako magka-apo hmm..."

"Pa!" suway ni Georgina sa kaniyang ama pagktapos niyang sambitin iyon, tumawa naman silang lahat lalo na si Charles. "hayaan mo tito...bukas na bukas!" dagdag naman ni Charles at patuloy parin silang nagsiyahan.

Ngunit sa gitna ng yon ay biglang may kumatok sa kanilang pintuan at hindi nila alam kung sino ang bisita. "I'll go get it...just continue eating okay?" Georgina's mother then left the table and walked towards their door. When Linda opened the door, her face stiffened with her eyes round open. She was appalled to see her here on her own house; it's been a long time since she saw her and she can still remember what she did on the past...she's one of the reason why they experienced those terrible days.
