With tears slowly falling from his eyes, he continued to run towards his mother's room. When he heard his father's message, he didn't hesitate to leave his bed; happiness covered his heart and he was really excited to see her again. Georgina was on his back, she was happy for him to see him like this, eager to embrace and love his mother despite of what she did to him. She adores his man so much.
Charles quickly turned the doorknob to enter the room and after that, he saw her mother drinking a glass of water calmly as she lay on her bed. Hindi niya alam kung paano na nasakop ng kasiyahan ang kaniyang sumisinag na mga mata, at lalo na ang kaniyang puso na lumambot habang nakatitig sa kaniyang ina. He froze at where he stands and Rosanna noticed him afterwards.
Rosanna didn't know what to do so she just played a short smile on her own face. Charles wiped his tears and came towards the side of his mother; she held her hand and sat on the wooden stool. His joyous aura was still was still visible on his face, he kissed his mother's hands at look at her with a lot of tears releasing from his glistening eyes. "Oh how happy am I to see you this well mama, I was really worried of you...I'm sorry I didn't save you that time," he said, still looking at his mother's eyes.
Rosanna was still unable to utter a word, hindi niya alam ang sasabihin at kahit nga pagtanaw sa mata ng kaniyang anak ngayon ay maisaalang-alang pa, but seeing him this thankful that she's well was enough for her to let out some small tears too.
"What's wrong mama? May masakit ba sayo?" he said worriedly but Rosanna just continued on tearing up. Manuel and Georgina was on the corner, looking at them with worry on their faces but Manuel took a step forward towards his wife and caressed her back to calm her down. "Rosanna-" "I'm fine Manuel...just...just give us a moment now, please?" Manuel looked at her face; she wiped her tears away first and smiled. "Sure." He answered before looking at his son and gave him a nod. He gave his wife a short kiss on the forehead first before tapping Georgina's shoulder. Georgina then nodded at Charles's father and gave Charles a warm glance before they left the room and closed the door.
Charles turned his gaze again at his mother while caressing her hand. "Why are you crying mama?" he asked, still worried of her action but Rosanna continued on letting out her own tears. She always look back at what she have done at the past, all those pain she brought to her own son, those deadly doings that she supported just to assure him on not loving a 2nd class girl.
Slowly, she raised her head to face him on the side and made a rested expression before sighing deeply. "These days, I just realized how wrong and such a foolish mother and a wife am I, all the things that I've done just to assure myself that you and Manuel will be looked up someday was too far. Akala ko tama ang ginagawa ko, akala ko makabubuti ito sa inyo...akala ko nagawa ko na ang lahat ng bagay para lamang hindi kayo maging pareho sa akin pero mali pala...at sumobra ako..." Rosanna's voice was trembling as she speaks but still continued.
"At first, I admit that I didn't want a child, because I think that it was just a hindrance for what I aim but I still gave birth to you. Your papa and abuela keeps on bragging me about you but I didn't mind you until I came up on a decision. In able for you to be the best like me, I trained you a lot, I pushed you into many things so that you could be a perfect man when you grow up, that anyone can be proud of you but in the middle of those things, you always asked me if I am proud of you and I always told you that I'm not....but honestly mi hijo...all this time, I am more than proud of you for trying your best to reach my expectancies."
