:The downfall 8

A lot of tears had been let out by Georgina here at the cell, it’s been a whole day now since she was last brought here and it was too hard for her to cope in this kind of place.

She was just cowering at the dirty floor of the cell, she had no tears left to cry now, her heart felt numb and she was just staring at the exit door of the police station, seeing some people walking in and out.

Dirty walls, windowless, rusty bars surrounded her, she was just alone, her food at the corner was still untouched dahil wala na siya ngayong gana. She keeps on thinking the same thing, asking the same question,

“Why is this happening to me? What kind of heartless person did this to me? At kung may galit man ito sakin bakit dinamay pa ang aking pamilya?”
She was just silently sobbing again at the floor, she was worried now of her family kung

ano ngayon nang nagyayari sa kanila? Are they safe? Are they very worried at me now?

This questions invaded her mind for now pero wala siyang magawa dahil nandito siya ngayon sa hindi kaaya-ayang selda. She didn’t know what time is it now but while she’s staring at the floor of the outside, she saw someone walking towards her, there’s two of them but she didn’t have the urge to look up because she was now too weak.

“Miss Torres, you’re now free to go out.” The police informed her in a deep voice, she didn’t even barely move but when she heard a voice she’s familiar with, ay agad na namilog ang kaniyang mga mata.

“Azalei! Azalei! get up now, I’m here.” Tawag ni Charles sa kaniya nang may pag-alala, he was more than pained to see his woman crouching at the floor of the prison cell, tears was now falling on his eyes as she look at Georgina slowly face him with her messy hair and dirty face.

Georgina then looked up at him, her vision became blurry now because tears started to fall on her eyes now, she knew it was Charles and she was very happy to hear and see him.

A warm embrace touched her body now, Charles’s scent invaded her sense of smell and she can’t help herself to cry out loud. “Shh.. I’m here, nandito na ako.” He keeps on telling her that he’s now here but Georgina still continued to cry out loud on his shoulders.

Charles tried to get her up but Georgina was just too weak now, so he then grabbed her whole body and just carry her with both of his arms.

“Muchas gracias.” Pasasalamat ni Charles sa pulis na nagpalabas kay Georgina at agad siyang nagpatuloy sa paglalakad patungo sa kaniyang karwahe na sinakyan niya kanina papunta dito. Charles just arrived here at Manervas after he knew what happened to her and to her family when he visited her home so he immediately sailed away to here and came to get Georgina.

While they’re on their way to his home here at Manervas, he continued on caressing Georgina’s hair, he was very worried of her when he knew what happened, parang biglang bumilis ang tibok nang kaniyang puso mula pa kanina.

He looked unto her eyes, he left a tear to see her face right now, she was still sobbing and looking lifeless on his embrace. “Wag ka nang mangamba Azalei, I’m now here and when we got to our home, eat first before you rest entiendé?” Georgina was still silent at his arms so Charles just sighed and kissed the temple of her head.

What happened to you Azalei?..

When they arrived at his house, he immediately opened the front door and carried Georgina to the sofa to let her rest there for a bit. “I’ll prepare the bathtub for a moment and ready your clothes, may mga damit ka pa naman dito, just rest there for a moment.” Charles kissed her forehead again before leaving her on the sofa, still unbothered.
