The whole war was finished. They all left with their bodies weary and wounded. Valeria has now being silenced for a period and a lot of her men were unable to fight back after what they did, so they’re all now free, especially Charles who has now ended his nightmare. But, a happening changed it to a sudden horrification.
“Hang in there mamá, malapit na tayo.” His voice were trembling really hard as he speaks. His father tried his best also to stop the blood on where Rosanna was been shot, his hands were shaking too and his face can’t be specified what emotion is he really revealing, his breath is heaving, his tears were apparent on his eyes, and his jaw is clenching really hard because of uncontrollable anger he’s feeling towards Valeria on what she have done.
All of them are in the state of surprise, Georgina and the others quickly followed them after they left.
Georgina was worried of Charles too, seeing him losing his mind a while ago was enough to make her feel doleful. All they need right now, is prayers, a prayer to ask God that Charles’s mother will be stable.
It took them almost half an hour before they got to the hospital. Manuel immediately acquired some group of nurses so after that, Rosanna was now being carried to the emergency room as she lay in a convertible bed. The nurse tried to approach Charles concerning to his blood dripping but he was too deaf to hear it.
As she was being pushed, Rosanna looked at her own son with her eyes slightly closing and huffing heavily as she tolerate her wound. She saw her son’s eyes, glinting with concern and apprehension.
The guilt was still on her heart, it keeps on soaring out of her chest that makes her easy to let a single tear pouring down with eternal sadness.
With her weak and trembling hand, she slowly reached his hand gripping on the railings of the bed and held it softly. Charles felt his mother’s hand touching his so with a quick movement, he grabbed it really tight and look at her with his uneasy face.
Rosanna keeps on letting out her tears until she tried to spoke enough to let her own son hear. “I’m sorry,” she uttered in between her unconscious mind.
Charles heard her so he pressed his hands on her and look with his eyes softened, giving hope.
“Lumaban ka mamá…please stay…I don’t want to lose you,” he said in a pleading way. Maya-maya ay nakarating na sila sa emergency room but the nurses suggested to stay outside and just wait for them. As the hospital door slowly closes in front of him, he was just gazing at his own mother being taken away by the doctors and left him letting out a heavy sigh and closing his eyes before he touched the side of his body.
