:The downfall 6

Charles can’t stop on catching his breath, parang nanghihina na siya ngayon lalo na nang patuloy parin na tumutulo ang kaniyang luha habang tinatanaw ang kaniyang abuela na tinutulak papunta sa emergency room.

He can’t believe that this will happen, this was so unexpected and his heart is still racing with worry and nervousness.

“Mi hijo…always remember to make yourself happy as always okay?” mahinang sabi nang kaniyang abuela sa kaniya and she tried to held his hand so Charles held it tightly.

“Of course abuela, kapit lang, nandito na tayo, just fight yourself abuela entiendé?” he said to her but she just closed her eyes and her lips rose to form a smile.

When they got to the emergency room ay agad na tinulungan nang mga doctor ang kaniyang abuela, they did a CPR at her but Charles was now far away as the nurse was letting him go out of the room for the moment.

He was now sitting at the chair near the emergency door, waiting worriedly for his abuela. His hands were trembling, tears was still falling on his eyes and he was overthinking of what just happened at umabot na siya sa lugar kung saan sinisisi niya ang kaniyang sarili sa mga nangyari kanina.

As the time goes by, he’s still murmuring and praying for his abuela,

oh god, please help my abuela now, I can’t be okay without her..

On the emergency room, the doctors were trying their best to revive Señora Soledad, they did a lot of ways including CPR but still she’s unconscious and her breathing now is not stable.

Minutes have passed, the doctors and nurses still didn’t give up, her breathing and pulse was now getting low and low until the line in the monitor just went.... straight.

Charles was still patiently waiting for the doctor, he suddenly looked at his parents near him sitting also and worrying for his abuela pero agad na nagtama ang kaniyang mga mata sa kaniyang papá at bigla niya na lamang itong nilipatan nang tingin tungo sa tinatanaw niya kanina.

He was mad when he looks at them, it feels like they’re so useless after all, hindi parin kayang tanggapin ni Charles ang kanilang pinipilit dahil alam niya sa kaniyang sarili na kaya niya itong tapusin at gawan nang paraan.

A lot of time has now passed, and all of a sudden, Charles stood up on where he’s sitting at, at agad na hinarap ang doctor na lumabas sa pinasukan nila kanina.

His heart was beating fast now because of nervousness especially when he saw those hopeless eyes of the doctor. His parents also stood up and faced the doctor in front of him waiting what he will say.

“How is she doctor?” may pag-alalang tanong nang papá ni Charles sa doctor pero agad lang itong nagbuntong hininga at umiling.

“She already gave her last breath, I’m sorry, we did all the ways to revive her but her heart was now very weak, as a result of her death.” The doctor explained with a hopeless tone that made Charles feel very overwhelmed.

The things that the doctor said was unbearable for him right now, his face was entirely shock, his body started to weaken and his mind went black. Hindi niya na namalayan na napaluhod na pala siya sa sahig nang hallway at parang hindi na siya makahinga.

Charles’s parents were also speechless, the thing that the doctor said brought a heavy heart to them. Charles’s father then looked at his son’s body at the floor, he was really hurt for him to see him like this, still can’t believe that his abuela was now gone.
